<br /> DANIEL GATES, GGItTRUDE GATES and JAMES S. CHUBB, each being first duly
<br /> 3 scaorn, on their oaths, jointly and severally, depose and say that they are
<br /> each of legal age; that they are each a resident of Grand Island, Hall County, ,
<br /> Nebraska; and that they each personally know the facts herein set forth.
<br /> Affiants further state that St. Paul's r4ethodist �piscopal Church of
<br /> Grand Island, Nebraska, was a member of the Central West Conference of the
<br /> ' Central JurisdicCion of the hiethodist Episcopal Church, and that said confer-
<br /> ?" ence was joined caith and into the South Central Jurisdiction Conference of
<br /> the Ntethodist Church; that said St. Paul's Methodist Cpiscopal Church of Grand
<br /> Island, Nebraslca, which was located at 1021 West Seventh Street, in Grand
<br /> Island, Nebraslca, on tl�e above described property, had dwindled to just Pour
<br /> members; that its District Superintendent, in St. Louis, Aiissouri, authorized
<br /> + two of the affiants, Daniel Gates, Chairman of the Trustees of said Church,
<br /> and his wife, Gertrude Gates, Secretary of said Church, to have their property �
<br /> taken over by Trinity t4ethodist Church, now Trinity United Methodist Church of
<br /> Grand Island, Nebraska, and to dispose of the property of said Church and send ,
<br /> �f some donationto St. Paul's P4ethodist Seminary, at Kansas City, Missouri.
<br /> Affiants further state that on April 21, 1965, they entered into an
<br /> agreement to se11 the Church property to Revival Center, of Grand Island,
<br /> Nebraska, which was later incorporated, for the sum of $5,500.00, upon which
<br /> the said Trinity United PlethodisC Church of Grand Island, Nebraska, borrowed
<br /> �, ; $4,000.00, which it paid to the St. Paul's Methodist Seminary; that said
<br /> ? Church then assumed the reponsibility for collecting the contract money for
<br /> < this property, and, that when it �•�as paid in full, the property would then be
<br /> :; deeded to the said Revival Center, and , irith deed being given by the said
<br /> ;, Trinity United riethodist Church of Grand Island, Nebraska. ,

<br /> Affiants further state that the balance cai11 be paid soon by said Re-
<br /> vival Center, and, that the loan orill be paid off and any net balance, after
<br /> '•�' ' the payment'of a11 costs, interest and expenses, will be used �'or sone Church
<br /> purposes; that the Revival Center novt is planning to se11 said property to
<br /> the First Church of The NaLarene, now located at 1022 47est Sixth Street, in
<br /> •� Grand Island, Nebraska; that the said St. Paul's Methodist Episcopal Church
<br /> of Grand Island, Nebraska, �aent out of existence and its Conference, likewise,
<br /> went out of existence, and for that reason, said Church cannot give a deed to
<br /> this property, but that Trinity United Methodist Church of Grand Island,
<br /> Nebraska, assumed the oUligations and assets of said St. Pau1's hiethodist
<br /> Episcopal Church of Grand Zsland, Nebraska, and it is in the process of author-•
<br /> izing the sale of such property to Revival Center, being through its trustees,
<br /> as successor trustees to the original trustees of St. Paul's Methodist Episco-
<br /> pal Church of Grand Island, Nebraska, at the time the said Church received the
<br /> property from Ira T. Paine, a widcw��, u:�d sahich deed was dated and acknow-
<br /> ledged on September 14, 1914, filed on September 15, 1914, and recorded in Book
<br /> 49, at Pa�e 148, in the Office of the Register of Deeds, Hall County, Nebraslca.
