<br /> 17.ENVIRONMiENTAL LAWS AND HAZARDOUS SUBSTANGES. As used in this section, (1)
<br /> Environmental Law means,without limitation,the Comprchensive Environmental Response,Co�npersation
<br /> - and Liability Act (CERCC.A,42 U.S.C. 96G1 et seqJ, and all other fcderal, state and local laws, regulations,
<br /> ordinances,court orders,attorney general opinions or interpretive letters concerning the public health,safety,
<br /> wclfare,environment or a hazardous substance;and(2) Hazardous Substance means any toxic,radioactive or
<br /> hazardous material, waste, pollutant or contaminant which has characteristics which render the substance
<br /> dangerous or potentially dangerous to the public health, safety,welfare or envir�nment.The term includes,
<br /> without lirnitation,any substances defined as "hazardous material," "taxic substanc..s," "hazardous waste" or
<br /> "hazardous substance"under any Environmcntal Law.
<br /> Grantor represents,wanants and agrces that:
<br /> A. Except as previously disclosed and acknowledged in writing to Ixnder,no Hezardous Substance is or will bc
<br /> located,stored or releuscd on or in the Property.'This restriction does not apply to small quantities of Hazardous
<br /> Substances that are generally recognvcd to bc appropriatc for the nornial usc and maintenance of the Property.
<br /> B. Except as previously discloscd and acknowl�dged in writing to Lender, Grantor and cvery tenant have
<br /> been.are,and shall remain in full compliance with any applicable Environmental Law.
<br /> C. Grantor shall immediately notity Lender if �release or threutened relcasc of a Hazardous Substance
<br /> - occurs on, under or about thc Property or thcrc is a violation of any Environmcntal Law concerning thc
<br /> Property, In such an evcnt, Grantor shall take all necessary remedial action in accorr.iance with any
<br /> Environmental Law.
<br /> I). Grantor shall immediately notity Lender in writing as soon as Grantor has rcason to believe there is any
<br /> _ pending or threatcned investigat�on, clai�n,or proceeding rclating to the release or thrcatencd release of
<br /> any I-ia�ardous Substance or the violation of any Environmental law.
