<br />Thereupon, Kenneth H. Elson moved the adoption of said
<br />Resolution. It was seconded by Bertha Lannin, and a discussion
<br />was called for. Thereafter, the Resolution was put to a vote and
<br />unanimously carried. Tne Chairman thereupon declared the Resolu-
<br />tion passed, as it had been adopted by more than the necessary
<br />three- fifths vote of tae members present and voting, at a meeting
<br />called for such purpose.

<br />O'CLOCK, A.M., ON SEPTEN�3ER 16, 1962
<br />A Special Meeting of the Quarterly Conference of Triatty
<br />Methodist Church of Grand Island, Nebraska, was held in the main
<br />sanctuary of said Churcn, at 11 :20 o'clock, A M., on Sunday,
<br />September 16, 1962. The meeting was called to order by Dr
<br />Laurence R. Davis, who presided at the meeting, being an Elder of
<br />The Methodist Church and acting under Designation by Reverend
<br />Robert Lewis Townsend, District Superintendent of the Kearney
<br />District, Nebraska Annual Conference, Iviethodist Church. The cheAL-
<br />man announced that, in the absence of our Recording Steward, it
<br />would be necessary to elect an Acting Recording Steward and Act-
<br />ing Secretary Pro Tem of the Quarterly Conference. Bayard H.
<br />Paine, Jr. nominated Esther J. Sanders and moved that nominations
<br />come to a close and the chairman be instructed to cast a unani-
<br />mous ballot in favor of Mrs. Sanders, which was seconded by
<br />Charles B. Paine and unanimously carried.
<br />Di�. Davis stated that, pursuant to the Discipline of
<br />the Methodist Church, and of the laws of the State of Nebraska,
<br />with respect to the sale of church -owned real estate, proper
<br />notice of this meeting, and of its purpose and proposed action,
<br />was given for three weeks, prior to the time of this meeting,
<br />at each of the regular Church services on Sunday, September 2,
