DESIGNATION
<br />Comes now Robert Lewis Townsend, District Superintendent,
<br />Kearney District, Nebraska Annual, Conference, Methodist Church, md,
<br />pursuant to Paragraph 139, of the Discipline of The Methodist Church,
<br />1960, I do hereby designate James S. Chubb and Laurence R. Davis,
<br />or either of them, who are both Elders in The Methodist Church, and
<br />who are both Ministers of Trinity Methodist Church of Grand Island,
<br />Nebraska, to preside in my place and stead at a Special Session of
<br />the Quarterly Conference of said Trinity Methodist Church, to be
<br />held in tkie main sanctuary of said Church on Sunday, September 16,
<br />1962, at 11:20 o'clock, A.M., the proposed action at said meeting
<br />being to vote on the sale of a tract of land in the Southwest quar-
<br />ter of Section 24, in Township 11, North, Range 10, West of the
<br />6th P.M., in Hall County, Nebraska, containing 21.75 acres, more
<br />or less, for $3,000.00, to the Grand Island Industrial Foundation,
<br />Inc., or assignees.

<br />Come now Robert Lewis Townsend, District Superintend-
<br />ent, Kearney District, Nebraska Annual Conference, Methodist Church,
<br />and James S. Chubb, a Minister of Trinity Methodist Church of Grand
<br />Island, Nebraska, and hereby expressly give their consent to the
<br />sale of a tract of land located in the Southwest Quarter (SWj) of
<br />Section Twenty -four (24), in Township Eleven (11), North, Range
<br />Ten (10), West of the 6th P.M., in Hall County, Nebraska, contain-
<br />ing 21.76 acres, more or less, for 0,000.00, to the Grand Island
<br />Industrial Foundation, Inc , or assignees.

<br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE MEMBERSHIP OF
<br />TRINITY METHODIST CHURCH OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA,
<br />HELD IN SAID CHURCH AT 11:20 OICLOCK, A.M., ON
<br />SEPTEMBER 16, 1962
<br />A Special Meeting of the Membership of Trinity Ivietnodist
<br />Church of Grand Island, Nebraska, was held in the main sanctuary
<br />of said Church, at 11:20 o'clock, A.M., on Sunday, September 16,
<br />1962. The meeting was called to order by Dr. Laurence R. Davis,
<br />a minister of said Church, who presided at the meeting The chair-
<br />man announced that, in the absence of our Recording Steward, it
<br />would b® necessary to elect an Acting Secretary Pro Tem. Bayard
<br />H. Paine, Jr. nominated Esther J. Sanders and moved that nomina-
<br />tions come to a close and the chairman be instructed to cast a
<br />unanimous ballot in favor of ITrs. Sanders, which was seconded by
<br />George A. Miller and unanimously carried. Approximately 500 mem-
<br />bers of the Church attended the meeting.
