<br />Ch-1rch; Fay Bowden, Secretary of the said Quarterly Conference,
<br />served in such capacity at the meeting.
<br />Reverend Monk -man stated that pursuant to the Discipline
<br />or '1'lie `;Iethodist Church with respect to the sale of church -owned
<br />real estate, proper notice of such meeting and of its purposes
<br />was given for more than ten days prior to the date of the meeting,
<br />the purpose of such meeting being to consider the authorization
<br />o* the sale and conveyance by warranty deed of Lots Five (5), and
<br />Six (6), in Block Ten (10), in the Original Town of Doniphan,
<br />Nebraska, to ,Myrl.Thaden, for the sum of $2,200.00, the proceeds
<br />of said sale to be used by said church for the purchase and im-
<br />provement of another parsonage.
<br />The following Resolution was presented;
<br />"WHEREAS, The First Methodist Church of Doniphan,-; -
<br />Nebraska, has found it desirable to sell Lots Five,(5) and Six '
<br />(6), in Block Ten (10), in the Original Town of Doniphan, Nebraska,f'
<br />and to apply the proceeds of such sale on the purchase of another
<br />parsonage; and,
<br />"WHEREAS Myrl Thaden has offered to purchase said proper-
<br />ty for the sum of 42,200.00;
<br />"NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved that the members
<br />of This First•Methodist Church of Doniphan, Nebraska, do hereby
<br />authorize and direct its Board of Trustees to take any and all
<br />necessary steps and actions, and to execute such instruments as
<br />may be necessary or advisable, and to enter'into such contracts
<br />and agreements as may be necessary or proper, in order to carry
<br />out the sale and conveyance by warranty deed of said property to
<br />Myrl Thaden, for the sum of $2,200.00, and such Board of Trustees
<br />shall apply the proceeds of such sale to the purchase and improve
<br />ment of another parsonage. We hereby ratify and confirm all pre-
<br />vious actions taken in connection therewith."
<br />Thereupon 'i moved the
<br />adoption of said Reso u ion; it was seconded A by }
<br />and a discussion was called for, Thereafter,
<br />" e eso u ion was put to a vote and unanimously carried. The
<br />chairman thereupon declared the Resolution passed and the'meeting-
<br />of the Quarterly Conference was adjourned.
