<br />Reverend Goodman stated that the purpose of the meeting
<br />which had been announced by proper notice from the pulpit of the
<br />church to the membership at the regular church services on August 9,
<br />August 16., August 23, and August 30, 1959, was to consider the authori-
<br />zation of a sale and conveyance by warranty deed, of Lots Five (5),
<br />and Six (6), in Block Ten (10), in the Original Town of Doniphan,
<br />Nebraska; to Myrl Thaden, for the sum of $2,200,00, the proceeds of
<br />said sale to be used to apply on the purchase and improvement of
<br />another parsonage.,
<br />The following Resolution was presented, namely:
<br />"WHEREAS, The First Methodist Church of Doniphan,
<br />Nebraska, nas found it desirable to sell Lots Five (5), and Six
<br />(e), in Block Ten (10), in The Original Town of Doniphan, Nebraska,
<br />and to apply the proceeds of such sale on the purchase and improve
<br />meat of another parsonage; and,
<br />"WI- iEREAS, Myrl Thaden has offered to purchase said
<br />property for the sum of $2,200.00;
<br />"NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved that the members-
<br />o f The First Methodist Church of Doniphan, Nebraska, do hereby
<br />authorize and direct its Board of Trustees to take any and all
<br />Necessary or advisable steps and actions, and to execute such
<br />instruments as may be necessary or advisable, and to enter into
<br />;such contracts and agreements as may be necessary or proper,.
<br />in order to carry out the sale and conveyance by warranty deed
<br />of such property, to Myrl Thaden, for the sum of $2,200,00, and
<br />such Board of Trustees shall apply the proceeds of such sale to
<br />the purchase and improvement of another parsonage. We hereby rati-
<br />fy and confirm all previous actions taken in connection therewith..
<br />Thereupon, William H. Haskins moved the adoption of
<br />said Resolution; it was seconded by Betty Goodman, and a discussion
<br />was called for. Thereafter, the resolution was put to a vote a:d
<br />unanimously carried. The chairman thereupon declared - -he Resol.ation
<br />passed and the special meeting of the membership was. adjourned.
