<br />"WHEREAS, Trinty Methodist Church of Grand Island,
<br />Nebraska, has found it desirable to sell a vacant lot owned by
<br />said church, known as Lot 1, Block 14, in Charles asmer's
<br />Addition to the city of Grand Island, Nebraska, and to apply the
<br />proceeds of such sale to the: reduction of the building fund debt
<br />of said church; and,
<br />"WHEREAS, Francis Purdy has offered.to purchase said lot
<br />for the sum of $2 -, 500.00.
<br />"NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved that the Quarterly
<br />Conference of the Trinity Methodist Church of Grand Island, Nebraska,
<br />does hereby authorize and direct its Board of Trustees, to take any
<br />and all necessary steps and actions, and to executo such instruments
<br />as may be necessary or advisable, and to enter intp such contracts
<br />and agreements as may be necessary or proper, in order to carry
<br />out the sale and conveyance by wamnty deed of said lot to Francis
<br />Purdy for the sum of $2,500.00, and such Board of 'Trustees shall
<br />apply the proceeds of such sale to reduce the building fund debt
<br />of said church. We hereby ratify and confirm.all previous actions
<br />taken in connection herewith."
<br />Thereupon, Edwin L. Barrett, moved the adoption of,said
<br />Resolution; it was secondec by Robert A. House, and a discussion
<br />was called for. Thereafter, the Resolution was put to a vote and
<br />unanimously carried. The chairman thereupon declared the Resolution
<br />passed and the special meeting of the Quarterly Conference was
<br />adjourned.

<br />ISLAND, NEBRASKA, HELD IN THE -HOTEL YANCEY
<br />AT 12.00 O'CLOCK, NOON, ON SEPTEMBER 81_1959.
<br />The special meeting of the Board of Trustees of Trinity
<br />Methodist Church of Grand Island, Nebraska, was held in the Hotel
<br />Yancey, at 12:00 o'clock, noon, on September 8, 1959, Mr. Robert
<br />A. House,-Chairman-of the Board-of Trustees presided at the meeting.
<br />The -d were recorded by Cedil Larson, -Vice Chairman of the
<br />:Board of Trustees, in the absence from the city of James Wenger,
<br />Secretary of the Board. _
<br />Mr. presented to the meeting copies of .the Resolu-
<br />tions. adopted by the Special meeting of the Membership of the
<br />Church, held during the 11 :00 o'clock service on September 6,
<br />19591 and the special meeting of the Quarterly Conference held
<br />.following the 11:00-o'clock.-service on September 6, 1959.` He
<br />also called to the attention of the Board_of Trustees, the fact
<br />that the trustees, the - official boa'd`and: the Quarterly Conference
<br />at regularly scheduled meetings :held on August 111959, had
<br />all, recommended the .approval of the' transaction referred to' in
<br />such Resolutions.
