Thereupon, Kenneth H. Elson, moved the adoption of said <br />Resolution; it was seconded by Donald Duryea, and a discussion <br />wascalled for. Thereafter, the .Resolution was put to a vote and <br />unanimously carried. Ghubb, aElder of the Metho31sT' <br />Church and Minister of Trinity Methodist Church <br />and Presiding Officer of Meeting of Membership. <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE QUARTERLY <br />CONFERENCE OF TRINITY METHODIST CHURCH OF GRAND <br />ISLAND NEB, HELD IN SAID CHURCH ON SEPTEMBER <br />1 1959, FOLLOWING-THE 11':00 O'CLOCK SERVICE. <br />A special meeting of the Quarterly Conference of Trinity <br />Methodist Church of Grand Island, Nebraska, was held in the <br />sanctuary of said church following the 11:00 o'clock service on <br />September 6, 1959, The meeting was called to order by Dr. James S. <br />Chubb, who presided at the meeting, being an Elder of The Methodist <br />Church, and acting under Designation by Reverend Glen W. Marshall, <br />District Superintendent of the Kearney District, Nebraska, Annual <br />Conference, Methodist Church; Vera Newman, Secretory of said <br />Quarterly Conference, served in such capacity at the meeting. <br />Dr. Chubb stated that pursuant to the Discipline of The <br />Methodist Church with respect to the sale of church -owned real <br />estate, proper notice of such meeting and of its purpose was given <br />for more than ten days prior to the date of the meeting, the pur- <br />pose of such meeting being to consider the authorization of the <br />sale and conveyance by warranty deed of Lot 1; Block 14, Charles <br />Wasmer's Addition to the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, to Francis <br />Purdy for the sum of $2,500.00 the proceeds of said sale to be <br />used by said church to reduce the building fund debt of said church. <br />
