V <br />20. If, due to fire, the elements, or the exercise of the right of eminent;domam'or' other authority of <br />law, or any other cause, the premises shall become untenantable, .'dangerous-,: o I r unfit for the Tenant's <br />use, rent payable under this lease shall abate during the continuance 'of that co`iidition If the conditions <br />which give rise to an abatement of rent under this section continue fora period of� iih6ty`( Oy'days; then <br />the Tenant may, at any time within sixty (60) days'after'sueh ninety:(90) day period, 'cancel this lease <br />and terminate its tenancy by giving the Landlord written notice of its intention to do so. <br />21. All notices, approvals, or requests in connection with this lease shall be sent by registered mail or <br />telegram. Notices to the Landlord may be addressed to the Landlord at the address set forth in Section <br />3 above. Notices to the Tenant shall be addressed to Montgomery Ward & Co., Incorporated, at 619 West <br />Chicago Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, attention of the Secretary. <br />22. In consideration of One Dollar ($1.00) paid by the Tenant to the Landlord, the receipt and suffi- <br />ciency of which are hereby acknowledged, the Landlord agrees that the Tenant shall have the option to <br />execute this lease at any time within sixty (60) days after receipt of the same duly executed by the <br />Landlord. <br />23. Employees or agents of the Tenant have no authority to make or agree to make a lease. This <br />instrument shall not be binding upon the Tenant until it has been executed on behalf of the Tenant by <br />one of its corporate officers. No act or omission of any employee of the Tenant shall alter, change, or <br />modify any of the provisions of this lease. Any alterations, changes,'and modifications of this lease shall <br />be effective only when made in writing and executed on behalf of the Tenant by one of its corporate <br />officers. <br />24. All the grantors of the term shall be bound jointly and severally by this lease.
