E A S E M E N T <br />WHEREAS, William Lechner, Augusta Lechner, Teddy and Imogene <br />Lechner have petitioned the Council of the City of Grand Island to <br />construct a sanitary sewer so that Lots 217, 218, 219, 220, 221 and <br />222 in Belmont, an Addition to the City of Grand Island, Hall County, <br />Nebraska, may be connected with the sanitary sewer system of Grand <br />Island, and <br />WHEREAS, Wilbur 0. Sargent and Norma L. Sargent, husband and wife, <br />have agreed to provide an easement for utility purposes over, along and <br />across a tract of land adjacent to the lots herein described on which <br />to construct said sanitary sewer and other utilities. <br />NOW, TiEREFORE, in consideration of the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) <br />in hand paid by the City of Grand Island to the undersigned grantors, <br />receipt wr_ereof is hereby acknowledged, and of the covenants and agree- <br />ments hereinafter set forth, the said Wilbur 0. Sargent and Norma L. <br />Sargent, husband and wife, do hereby grant and convey unto the City <br />of Grand Island, a municipal corporation, in Hall County, Nebraska, a <br />perpetual easement over, along and across a certain strip of land Six- <br />teen (16) feet in width and approximately Three Hundred Ten (310) feet <br />in length, more particularly described as follows: <br />Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Southwest Quarter <br />(SW4) of Section Seventeen (17), in Township Eleven (11) North, <br />Range wine (9), West of the 6th P.M. in Hall County, i�ebraska; <br />thence Vilest along the North line of said Quarter Section for <br />a distance of Sixteen (16) feet; thence South parallel to the <br />bast line of said Quarter Section to the South line of Sixth <br />(6th) Street in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, extended <br />West; thence East along the South line of said Sixth (6th) <br />Street extended, to the East line of said Quarter Section; <br />thence North along the Last line of said Quarter Section to <br />the place of beginning. <br />It is understood and agreed that the City of Grand Island, trie <br />grantee, may construct public utilities on the land herein described <br />such as sanitary sewers, water mains and power lines provided, however, <br />tna.t all manholes shall be so constructed tip:; i,'ie tops of the same <br />shall be at least eigrteen (18) inches below the surface of the ground, <br />and all sewer and water mains shall be installed or constructed at <br />such a depth as not to interfere with the plowing, cultivating or har- <br />vesting of any crops grown on said land herein described. 1� is fur- <br />ther understood that all poles used for power and lignt lines hereinafter <br />
