<br />THE MWRCH OF TIE WQMENE OF GRUD ISLAND NEMASM,
<br />WAD IN MID CHURCH UN SUNDAY, AUBUST 29, 1957
<br />A special meeting of the membership of the Church of the
<br />gene of grand Island, Nebraska, was held in said Church, at
<br />1€ 24 'hest 6th Street, in errand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, on
<br />Sunday, August 25, 1957, at the hour of 1100 o'clock, A.K.
<br />The meeting was called to order by the pastor, :rev.
<br />L. C. 5chwatns, who presided at the meeting. the Minutes were re-
<br />corded by Mrs. Edna White, Church Secretary.
<br />Rev, Schwanz stated that the purpose of this meeting, as
<br />had been previously announced from the pulpit of tf, Church td' t:�a
<br />m-eia3ersship, on each at the three preceding -r gular_R services, aam-ely,
<br />on August 40 1357, August 11, 1957s and August 1S, 1957, was to
<br />vote upon the sale of the property received by said church from the
<br />.state of Anna Kelly, Deceased, which property is located at 414
<br />North Cedar Street in Grand Island, Nebraska, and which property
<br />is described as foilows, na;aelys
<br />The Southerly Fifty -six (56) feet of Lot
<br />One (1), in Block Thirty -five (35), in the
<br />Original Town, now City, of Grand Island,
<br />Nebraska;
<br />the prospective purchasers being Oliver M. Anderson andr1.abel
<br />Anderson, husband and wife, and the proposed sale price being
<br />the sum of $5,200.00.
<br />Rev. L. C. Schwan further announced that WMtaomb Harding,
<br />District Superintendent of the Church of the Masarene of the Nebraska
<br />District, sh h includes the Church of the hasarene of Grand Island,
<br />Nebraska, tad-:Oiven his permission authorisation, consent and appro-
<br />in
<br />writing, for the cabling oI this special meeting for the pur-
<br />tot Voting cm the sale of said property, and further, that the
<br />said Vhlteawe media had likewise given his permission, authorisa-
<br />tion, consent and approvals in uritisg,for the sale of the sala des-
<br />cribed real estates to the said purchasers and at the said price.
<br />Rev, Schwans thereupon declared that this special aesting had been
<br />legally convened. The aatter of such sale was then fully discussed.
