<br /> 4,UITCLAIM DEED .
<br /> 1, �he City of Grand Island, Nebraska, by action of its city council on
<br /> April 2, 1973, enacted Ordinance No. 5376 which directed the: conveyance of the
<br /> _ real estate described below and the manner and terms thereof.
<br /> 2. Ordinance No. 5376 was published in the Grand Island Daily Independent,
<br /> a legal newspaper published. in and of general circulation in such City on
<br /> April 6, 1973, and, immediately thereafter, notice of such sale and the terms
<br /> thereof were published in the Grand Island Daily Independent for three consecutive
<br /> weeks, on April 9, 1973, Apri1 16, 1973, and Apri1 23, 1973, a11 as required by
<br /> Section 16-202, R.R.S. 19�+3•
<br /> 3. No remonstrance against such sale was filed with the city council of
<br /> the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, t�rithin thirty days of the passage and pub-
<br /> lication of such Ordinance No. 5376.
<br /> �+. Section 5 of Ordinanee No. 5376 provides that if no remonstrance be
<br /> filed against such conveyance, the mayor and city clerk-finance director shall
<br /> make, execute, and deliver to the Grantees a quitclaim deed for said real estate,
<br /> arid the execution of such quitclaim deed is hereby authorized without f'urther
<br /> action on behalf of the eity council.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, a municipal corporation
<br /> in Hal1 County, Nebraska, as Grantor, in consideration of One Dollar ($1.00)
<br /> plus the City's costs of. preparing of ordinances, notices, and deed, and for
<br /> publication costs of ordinances and notices and a11 legal expense involved
<br /> therewith, does .hereby quitclaim, grant, bargain, se11, convey, and confirm
<br /> unto
<br /> MONS C. THONIl'SON and NORMA JEAN THOMPSON,
<br /> ' . as joint tenants with right of sttrvivorship and not as tenants in common, herein
<br /> called the Grantees, the following described real property in Hall County,
<br /> � Nebraska:
<br /> That part of Cherry Street, vacated by Ordinance No. 5371, being
<br /> the westerly e]_even (11) feet of said street, lying adjacent to
<br /> and easterly of Lot Twenty-one (21) in Block Two (2) of Meves
<br /> First Addition to the City of Grand Island, from the easterly
<br /> prolongation of the northerly line of such lot to the easterly
<br /> prolongation of the southerly line of such lot, identified as
<br /> Tract 3 on the plat marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
<br /> incorporated herein by reference.
<br /> To have and to hold the above described premises, together with a11.
<br /> tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereto belonging unto the Grantee
<br /> and to Grantee's heirs and assigns forever.
