<br /> HARRY SHIPMAN, being first duly sworn on oath, deposes and says
<br /> that he is the President of the Board of Education of School District
<br /> 1-R of Hall and Merrick County, Nebraska; that by virtue of a merger of
<br /> school districts, including School District No. 54, all right, title
<br /> and interest in and to School District No. 54 of Hall County, Nebraska,
<br /> including lands and personal property, became vested in School District
<br /> 1-R of Hall and Merrick County on or about the 30th day of December ,
<br /> 1969; that at $:00 o'clock, P. M. , on October 2�972, a Special Meet-
<br /> ing was called by the Board of Education of School District 1-R of Hall �
<br /> and Merrick County, Nebraska, pursuant to Notice given by the said Board _
<br /> of Education in The Grand Island Daily Independent in compliance with
<br /> the law pertaining to notices, and that the following Resolution was
<br /> approved by a majority vote of the patrons and taxpayers of the district
<br /> present as follows:
<br /> It is moved by a member of the Board of Education of School
<br /> District 1-R of Hall and Merrick County, Nebraska, that Dis-
<br /> trict No. 54 be offered to the adjacent landowner for the
<br /> sum of Ten-Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($10,000.00),
<br /> and that said offer was refused by the adjacent landowner.
<br /> That the land owned by District No. 5�+ which was merged and became
<br /> a part of District 1-R of Hall and Merrick County, Nebraska, was offered
<br /> for sale pursuant to motion made at a Special Meeting on October 24,
<br /> 1972, directing the Board of Education to sell the real estate and build-
<br /> ings located thereon.
<br /> That the results of the action of the patrons were fifty (50) of
<br /> the patrons for, and twenty-six (26) against. The Board declared the
<br /> Resolution to be approved by the assembled patrons and taxpayers.
<br /> That pursuant to the authority granted to the Board of Education of
<br /> Scliool Distr3ct 1-R of Hail and Merrick County, Nebraska, the sale
<br /> was accomplished and purchase pursuant to the Resolution was evidenced
<br /> by the attached Warranty Deed to the purchasers as provided in the
<br /> Resolution. �
<br /> That a Warranty Deed was executed to the purchasers pursuant to
<br /> the authority contained in said Resolution of October 2�+, 1973.
