3. The minutes of �y office show that a Church Council meeting was <br /> held on April 23, 1972. At such meeting, the following resolution was <br /> adopted by the Church Council: <br /> " R E S 0 L U T I 0 N <br /> BE IT RESOLVED, by the Church Council of St. Pau1's Luti��ran Church <br /> of Grand Island, Nebraska, that: <br /> l. A special congregational meeting is hereby called for Ma,y 14; 1972, <br /> at 12 o'clock noon, to consider the sale of the church parsonage at 116 <br /> West 20th Street. No other business sha11 be transacted at such meeting. <br /> Notice of the special meeting sha11 be given to al1 confirmed members in <br /> good standing by U.S, mail at least ten days in advance of the date of <br /> meeting. The notice sha11 read as follows: <br /> Notice is hereby given that a special congregational <br /> meeting is called for May 14, 1972, at 12 o'clock noon, in ' <br /> the church fellowship hall to consider the sale of the church <br /> parsonage at 116 West 20th Street, Grand Island, Nebraska, <br /> legally defined as Lot 24, B1ock 1, Knickrehm Addition to <br /> the City of Grand Island, Nebraska. The church council proposes <br /> to se11 and convey such real estate by warranty deed upon showing <br /> of marketable title for $21,500. The purchaser agrees to assume <br /> and pay as part of the �21,500 consideration, �he existing <br /> approximately $15,480.00 first mortgage and mortgage bond. <br /> $200 sha11 be paid down and the balance sha11 be paid upon <br /> . delivery of deed. <br /> �he question to be voted upon is wPiether or not the <br /> church council should be authorized to convey the above- <br /> described church real e'state, pursuant to the terms stated <br /> above, and for that purpose, to take whatever action is <br /> necessary to effectuate the sale and conveyance. <br /> 2. The President and Secretary of the church council are hereby <br /> authorized, upon approval of the congregation, to execute on behalf of <br /> the church a11 documents necessary to consumate the conveyance and to <br /> incur whatever expenses are necessary therefor." <br /> �+. The records of my office show that notice of the special congregational <br /> meeting worded in the same language as the resolution adopted Apri7� �3, 1972, <br /> was sent by U.S. Mai1 to a11 confirmed members in good standing of St. Pau1's <br /> Lutheran Churcho on Apri1 29, 1972. <br /> 5. The records of my office show that a special congregational meeting <br /> was held on May 14, 1972, beginning at 12:15 p,m. 'I`he meeting was called to <br /> order by the President of the Church Council, Mr. Don McDannel. <br /> NIr.
