<br /> The County Board of Public Welfare was p�aintiff and Ar�t:zur Whitt, et al.,
<br /> were defendants, No. 11�61.t8, Docket 50, Page l�0, the plaintiff' did, on the
<br /> �7th day of February, 1963, obtain a decree finding there to be due from the
<br /> 'defendants for old a;a assistance, in Cause of Action No. Four, the sum of
<br /> $6,708.80, accruing interest and costs of the suit, and, whereas, it was then
<br /> and there further.ordered in the said action th�.t in default of the paymen�t of
<br /> the sum so found due from the said defendants that the Sheriff o° said County
<br /> of Hal.l :�hould c.u��e the lands and tenements hereinafter described to be
<br /> advertised and sold according to law to pay the same, and, whereas, default
<br /> having been inade therein, the said S:ie�^if.f oi said County, under and by virtue
<br /> of the said decree and the order of sale to him duly directed, did, on the 18th
<br /> day of April, 1963, at the north dco-r of the Court House in the City of Grand
<br /> Island� Nebraska� in said County of Hall, having first given due and legal
<br /> notice of the time and place of said sale for not less than thirty days p.„ior
<br /> thereto in the Grand Isl�.nd Paily Independent, a legal newspaper, printed and
<br /> in general circulation in said County of Hall, sell said prenisa�� at pu':�;_._c
<br /> auction to Truman D. Short and Marjorie J. Short, husband and wife, as joint
<br /> tenants and not as tenants in common, for the sum of One hundred fifty and
<br /> no�100 ($150.00) Dollars, (the total accrued costs of suit and sale being
<br /> $106.33), which sale was afterwards on the lOth day� of May, 1963, examined and
<br /> confirmed by the said Court and the said Bill Ummel as such Sheriff, �rdera�l
<br /> �o convey the said premises in fee simple to the said Truman D. Short and
<br /> Marjorie J. Short, husband and wife, as joint t;enants and not as tenants in
<br /> common.
<br /> NOW, therefo.re, I, tne said Sheriff of the County of Hall, as aforesaid,
<br /> in consideration of the premises and by virtue of the powers vested in me by
<br /> Iaw and the de:�ree of said Court, do hereby give, grant, and convey to the
<br /> said Truman D. Short and Marjorie J. Short, husband and wife, as joint tenants
<br /> and no� as te�.nts in co:n-�on, the premises so as aforesaid sold, to-wit:
<br /> Lo�l; Six��en (16), Scudder�s Addition to the Village of
<br /> Doniphan, Hall County, Nebras�a, as sarveyed, ;�latted an3 recorded,
<br /> with the appurtenances.
