<br /> LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JUERGEIV RIEF.
<br /> I, Juergen Rie�', o� Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, being of sound mind and disposing
<br /> memory, do make, publish, and deelare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all
<br /> former wills by me made, in manner and form Pollowing:
<br /> FIRST.
<br /> I direct that all my ,�ust debts and the expenses of my last sickness and burial ahall first
<br /> be paid out of any personal es�ate.
<br /> SECOND.
<br /> I give and devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Anna Rief, in the event she survivea me,
<br /> the liPe use and lncome from all ot my property, real, personal, and mixed, o� which I shall die
<br /> the owner, and in the event eaid income �.s insufficient to provide the necessities and comforts of
<br /> life for hsr, then I give to her so much of the persona.l property, here�.nafter rePerred to in
<br /> Paragraph Fifth, as may be necessary, and in the event said personal property should become ex-
<br /> hausted, then I give, devise, and bequeath to her so much of the real estate as may be necessary to
<br /> provide her the necessities and comforts oP life, and give her fu7.1 power and au�hority to sell, '
<br /> transfer, and co�vey such real estate referred to in said paxagraph fifth as may be neeessary.
<br /> The foregoing provlsion in favor oP my said wife, Anna Rief, ls in lieu of all her rights in
<br /> and to my estate under the law.
<br /> THZRD.
<br /> Sub,�ee� to the liPe use and income thereof bequeathed to my wife, Anna Rief, I give and
<br /> devise to my svn, George Rief, and without power in him to, in any manner, sell, alienate, or
<br /> incumber the same, the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter and the south half oP �he north-
<br /> west quarter of Section Three �3) , in Tvwnship Ten (10) north, Range Nine (9) West oP the 6th P.M. ,
<br /> in Washington Township, Hall County, Nebraska, and the remainder, after the death oY my said son,
<br /> George Rief, I �ive and devise to the children oP my said son, George Rief, living at the time of
<br /> his dea�h, share and share alike.
<br /> T further provide that the real estate deacribed in this paragraph number�d three shall not
<br /> be sub�ect to execution, attachment, or levy for any debts of the said George RieP.
<br /> FOURTH.
<br /> I give to my da,ught�r, Ella Hehnke, the sum of Five Hundred Dollars (�500.00) , to be paid
<br /> to her after the death of my wife, to be deducted from the ahare oY Herman Rief as hereinafter
<br /> received.
<br /> FIFTH.
<br /> I give, devise, and bequeath all of the res�G, residue, and remainder of my estate as follows :
<br /> To my daughter, Ella Hehnke an undividea one-fourth; to my sona, Herman Rief, an undivided one-
<br /> fourth less the sum of Five Hundred Dollars (�500.00), which is to be paid to my daughter, Ella
<br /> Hehnke as ��rovided in paragraph fourth hereof; to Fred Rlef an undivided one-fourth; and to my
<br /> �rand-daughters, Yolanda Rau�rt an undivided one-eighth, and Luella Rauer'� an undivided one_eighth,
<br /> to have and to hold absolutely. In the event of the death of any of my children, Ella Hehnke,
<br /> Herman Rie�, or Fred Rief, S provide that the children of such deoeased child sha11 take by right
<br /> of representation.
<br /> SIXTH.
<br /> I hereby nominate and appoint my said wife, Anna RieP, as executrix oP this, my last will
<br /> and testamen�.
