<br />LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF MARY ROACH
<br />I, Mary Roach., of 522 North Washington Street, Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, being of
<br />sound mind and disposing memory, do make, publish and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament,
<br />hereby revoking all former wills and testamentary instruments by me made.
<br />First' I order and direct that my Executor shall convert all of my property, both real and
<br />personal, into cash at either private or public sale, as soon as conveniently possible after my
<br />death; and I hereby authorize and empower my Executor to sell and convey any and all real and
<br />personal property of which I may die possessed.
<br />Second- I order and direct that my Executor shall make payment of my just debts, and the
<br />expenses attending my last illness and burial as soon as conveniently possible.
<br />Third- I order and direct my Executor to make payment to the City of Grand Island, Nebraska,
<br />such sum as is required to take permanent care of the burial plot in the Grand Island Cemetery
<br />where my husband and son are buried. If my memory is correct this lot is owned by the family of
<br />William Ensign, who were old fri ens of our family.
<br />Fourth- I give and bequeath to my friends - Mrs. Maggie Marsh, 507 South Locust Street, Grand
<br />Island Nebraska; Mrs. Clara Clapper, Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. J.C.Guthrie, 215 West 6th Street,
<br />Grand island, Nebraska; Mrs. Leona E.Bates, 813 West 6th Street, Grand Island,Nebraska; and Mrs.
<br />Emma Linden, 1118 West 6th Street, Grand Island,Nebraska;
<br />the sum of Twenty -five and No/100 (025.00) Dollars each, as a
<br />remembrance of , lei.:, friendship and many kindnesses to me. Should any.of the above named preceed
<br />me in death, the bequest as to such deceased friend shall be void.
<br />Fifth- All of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, I give, devise and bequeath to
<br />Father Flannigan's Boy Home, Omaha, Nebraska,as I deem this a most worthy institution, and trust
<br />that this small gift will be of assistance to them in carrying on their good work.
<br />LASTLY- I hereby make, constitute and appoint, Grand Island Trust Company, of Grand Island,
<br />Nebraska, a corporation, as Executor of this!.my Last Will and Testament.

<br />Island, in said County, on the 25th day of October, A.D. 1944.

<br />I, Charles Bossert, Judge of the County Court, in and for said County, do hereby certify that
<br />on the 2nd day of October, 1944, the instrument purporting to be the last will and testament of
<br />Mary Roach, deceased, was filed for probate in this Court. That on the 25th day of October,1944,
<br />said instrument to which this certificate is attgehed was duly proved, probated and allowed as the
<br />last will and testament of the real and personal estate of said Mary Roach deceased, and the same
<br />was ordered to be recorded in the records of the Court aforesaid.

<br />MARY ROACH, DECEASED. — ISO. '34139—
<br />Now on this 6th day of June, 1945, this cause came on for hearing upon the final report filed
<br />herein by the Grand Island Trust Company, Executor of the estate of Mary Roach, deceased, and upon
<br />their petition for the approval and allowance of said report, settlement of said estate, detdrmina-
<br />tion of the heirs and their discharge herein, and the Court having examined the records and files'
<br />and being fully advised in the premises finds:
<br />That the Grand Island Trust Company filed their petition in this Court on the 2nd day of October,
<br />1944, alleging among other things that Mary Roach departed this life testate on the 30th day of
<br />September, 1944, and was at that time a resident and inhabitant of said County and State and was
<br />the owner of an estate to be administered in said County; that upon reading and filing said petition,
<br />an order was entered fixing the time and place for hearing the evidence in support of said petition,
<br />giving notice thereof to all interested parties by publishing said notice for three successive weeks
<br />in the Grand Island Daily Independent, a legal newspaper published and circulated in said County.
<br />That said hearing was held, as heretofore ordered by the Court, as by law required, and Letters
<br />Testamentary were granted to the Grand Island Trust Company upon the filing of their bond in this
<br />Court, as required by law.
<br />That due and legal notice has been given to all persons of the time and place fixed by the Court
<br />for filing claims against said estate by publication for three successive weeks in the Grand Island
<br />Daily Independent, as provided by law, and that all persons having claims against said estate, not
<br />filed within the time fixed by the Court, if any such there be, should be forever barred, excluded
<br />and enjoined from setting up or asserting any such claims against said estate,
<br />That said deceased departed this life leaving no survivors or heirs at law, and devisees entitled
<br />to share in this estate are as follows, to -wit: Mrs. Maggie Marsh, 507 South Locust Street, Grand
<br />Island,Nebraska; Mrs. Clara Clapper, Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. J. C.Guthrie, 215 West 6th Street, Grand
<br />Island, Nebraska; Mrs. Leona E. Bates, 813 West 6th Street, Grand Island,Nebraska; and Mrs. Emma Linden,
<br />1118 West 6th Street, Grand Island, Nebraska.
<br />That said deceased died the owner of ari estate situated in Hall County, Nebraska, consisting
<br />of real property and personal property, said real estate being described as follow:
