<br />SHORT WILL -
<br />IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN.
<br />I, Arthur F.Howell of Grand Island in the County of Hall, State of Nebraska, being of sound mind
<br />and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make,
<br />ordain, publish and declare this to be my last WILL AND TESTAMWNT.
<br />FIRST, I order and direct that my Executor hereinafter named, pay all my just debts and funeral
<br />expenses as soon after my decease as conveniently may be.
<br />SECOND, After the payment of such funeral expenses and debts, I give, devise and bequeath to my
<br />wife, Mary Edna Howell, all real estate, monies, notes and mortgages insurances and all other prop-
<br />erties of which I ma,y be possessed', I make and appoint my wife Mary Edna Howell, to be executrix
<br />of this my last will and e� stament; hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
<br />Third - Should my wife Mary Edna Howell have died before my death, I then order and decree that
<br />my executors hereinafter named shall as soon as possible pay all my lawful debts and funeral ex-
<br />penses together with the costs of this execution. When this is done I give and bequeath the re-
<br />mainder of my prope -rties as follows. 1. $100.00 (one hundred dollars) to the City of Grand Island
<br />Neb. for the upkeep of Lot 158 Sec..D in Grand Island Cemetr . 2. $600.00 (Six hundred dollars) to
<br />be paid to the First Baptist Church of Grand Island Ne this sum to cancel a debt of $600.00 due
<br />Mary Edna Howell by said Church. 3. $3000.00 (Three thousand dollars) to the American Baptist
<br />Publication society, a corporation of the State of Permsylvania with headquarters in Philadelphia,
<br />Pa. The said sum to be made a permanent fund, the interest or income only to be used for the
<br />printing and distribution of Free Bibles. Should for any cause my estate fail to produce enough
<br />monies to pay all the a:.ove in full, the $100.00 to the City of Grand Island for the Cemetery
<br />upkeep and the $600.00 to the Baptist Church shall be paid, in full, the deficit to be deducted
<br />from the gift to the American Baptist Publication Society. Should my estate yield more than
<br />named in the above amounts, then the surplus is to be added to the,3000.00 given to the American
<br />Baptist Publication Society.
<br />I make,constitute and appoint with power to sell real estate, the Dill- Huston- Wenger Co. of Grand
<br />Island,Neb., to be executors of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills
<br />by me made.
<br />LASTLY, I make, constitute and appoint to be Execut of this, my last
<br />Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made. /
<br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the 24 day of April,
<br />in the year of our Lord, one thousand nine hundred and Thirty -six.

<br />on the 10th day of June, 1944, the instrument purporting to be the last will and testament of
<br />Arthur F.Howell, deceased, was filed for probate in this Court". That on the 16th day of August,
<br />1944, said instrument to which this certificate is attached was duly proved, probated and allowed
<br />as the last will and testament of the real and personal estate of said Arthur F.Howell deceased,
<br />and the same was ordered to be recorded in the records of the Court aforesaid.
