<br />WILL AND DECREE /\
<br />LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF MARTHA E.ALLEN
<br />I, Martha E.Allen, widow, of David City, Butler County, Nebraska, declare this to be my last
<br />will and Testament:
<br />First.
<br />I direct that all my just debts, funeral expenses and those incidental to the probate of this
<br />my last will and testament be paid by my executrix hereinafter named as early as may be legally
<br />done to the best interest of my estate.
<br />Second. -
<br />I give devise, and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Mabel C.Mahlin my residence property in
<br />David City, Nebraska, where I' now reside, described as follows, to -wit: The East 70 feet of Lot
<br />Six and the East 70 feet of the South -half of Lot Three, all in Block Four (4) Miles First Addi-
<br />tion to the city of David City, Nebraska, absolutely forever.
<br />Third.
<br />c I give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Mabel C.Mahlin all my undivided one-half
<br />interest in and to the land in Buffalo County, Nebraska, owned jointly with my said daughter and
<br />described as the Northwest Quarter of Section Thirty -three (33), Township Nine (9),Range Seventeen
<br />(17) West of the 6th P.M., in Buffalo County, Nebraska, absolutely forever.
<br />Fourth.
<br />I give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Mabel C.Mahlin U.S.Savinge Bonds number
<br />D65262 and D65261 Series A.Due March 1945 also all my undivided one -half interest in and to Bonds
<br />No. 236, 237 and 239 of the first mortgage sinking fund bonds of the Eply Hotel Company, Omaha,
<br />Nebraska, absolutely forever.

<br />I give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved grand - daughter Lucile Price the Northwest Twent
<br />acres of the West -half of the Southeast Quarter of Section Seventeen (17) Township Fifteen (1
<br />North, Range One (1) East of the 6th P.M. in Butler County, Nebraska, containing 20 acres; also
<br />the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section Twenty -three (23) Township Fifteen (15)
<br />horth Ran e One (1) East of the 6th P.M. in Butler County, Nebraska, containing 40 acres; also
<br />Lot Six (9) in Block Eleven (11) in Clark's Addition to the City of Grand Island,Nebraska� also
<br />U.S.Savings Bonds in denomination of $500.00 each and being numbered D 65260 and D 65259 eries A
<br />due March 1945, absolutely forever.
<br />Sixth.
<br />I give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved grand- Daughter Mildred Lnenicka and my beloved
<br />CU grand -son Marion Mahlin the Northeast Quarter of Section Twenty -Three (23), Township Sixteen (16)
<br />north Range One (1), East of the 6th P.M. in Butler County Nebraska, share and share alike, abso-
<br />lutely forever; also U.S.Savings Bonds Numbered D 65258, b 65257, D 65256 and D 65255 Series A
<br />Due March 1945, share and share alike absolutely forever.
<br />Seventh
<br />I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mabel C..
<br />Mahlin and my grand- children Lucile Price, Mildred
<br />Lnenicka and Marion Mahlin each an undivided one- fourth interest in and to my 4o shares of The
<br />Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph Company stock represented by certificate No. 1516, absolutely for-
<br />ever*
<br />Eighth.
<br />I give and bequeath unto my niece Nellie Houdescheldt of Ulysses, Nebraska, the sum of Two
<br />Hundred Fifty ($250.00) Dollars absolutely forever, but should said Nellie Houdescheldt predecease
<br />me then it is my will said bequest shall lapse and go according to my residuary bequest herein made.
<br />Ninth.
<br />All the rest, residue and remainder of my real and persona?_ property of every kind and nature
<br />and wheresoever situated after provisions "First" to "Eighth's inclusive has been satisfied I give,
<br />devise and bequeath unto said Mabel C.Mahlin, Lucile Price, Mildred Lnenicka and Marion Mahlin,
<br />share and share alike absolutely forever.
<br />Tenth.
<br />I hereby appoint my beloved daughter Mabel C.Mahlin, executrix of this my last will and testament
<br />hereby revoking all prior wills by me made.
<br />Eleventh.
<br />In the preparation of this my last will and testament I have given much thought and it has been
<br />a pleasure for me to divide my estate as I have herein devised and bequeatned the same and I hope
<br />each and all of my beloved beneficiaries will accept the bequest, gift or devise with pleasure
<br />and with my blessing.
<br />In Witness of the due execution of this my last will and testament I have hereunto set my hand
<br />this 29th day of July, 1940. Martha E.Allen
<br />We whose names are hereunto subscribed do certify that Martha E.Allen, the testatrix, being of
<br />sound mind and memory subscribed her name in our presence and in the presence of each of us de-
<br />clared this instrument to be her voluntary act and will and.. we at her request sign our names here-
<br />unto in her presence and in the presence of each other as attesting witness to her due execution
<br />of the foregoing last will and testament consisting of three typewritten sheets each identified by
<br />her signature.

<br />State of Nebraska )SS. I, J.C.Hranac, County Judge of Butler County, Nebraska, do hereby certify
<br />Butler County ) that the above and foregoing instrument was on the 22nd day of November,
<br />1940, at the hour of ten o'clock A.M., duly proved as the last will and testament of Martha I.Allen,
<br />the testatrix therein described.; that it was duly executed according to law and that said testatrix
<br />was competent to execute the same; that said instrument is entitled to probate and is admitted to
<br />probate as and for the last will and testament of the said Martha E.Allen, deceased, and probated
<br />as such.
<br />In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of the County Court this
<br />22nd day of November, 1940.
