<br />after acquired by me and whereirer situated, I give, devise and bequeath equally to my said three

<br />children above named, Gertrude Lesher, Rosa Starr and Carl Lesher, subject to the power of sale
<br />conferred on my executrices hereby. The restriction against mortgaging or selling contained in
<br />Item Five shall not apply to my residuary estate.
<br />ITEM SEVEN.
<br />Should any of my laid children die before me, leaving a child or children or descendant or
<br />descendants, her, him or them surviving at my death, the share hereby devised and bequeathed to
<br />such child or children hereby shall go to and be divided among the descendants of such deceased
<br />child or children of mine by representation and should any of my said children, Gertrude Lesher,
<br />Rosa Starr or Carl Lesher die before me, leaving no descendant or descendants surviving a� my
<br />death, then her or his share devised by this will, shall fall into and become part of my residuary
<br />estate and shall be divided equally between my surviving child or children, as the case may be,
<br />and the descendants of any deceased child or children by representation- the descendants to stand
<br />In the place of the deceased parent and take the share the parent would have taken hereunder if
<br />living.
<br />ITEM EIGHT.
<br />It has been my earnest hope that my daughter Rosa and my son, Carl., "should give their children
<br />the advantages of a good education and I considered making a charge upon the real estate respect-
<br />ively devised to them to insure their education, but on maturer consideration, I have concluded
<br />not to tie up their lands by such a charge, but I admonish them to respect my wishes in that
<br />regard and give their children the opportunities of a good education, if they show any inclinktions
<br />in that direction.
<br />ITEM NINE.
<br />I nominate and appoint my daughters, Gertrude and Rosa, executrices of this will and should
<br />either of them die before me or decline to act, I direct that my son, Carl, shall act as her suc-
<br />cessor. I direct that none of my said children shall be required to give surety or bond as such.
<br />I authorize my executrices to sell any of my residuary personal or real property owned by me at

<br />my death at such prices and upon such terms as to them shall seem best without obtaining any li-
<br />cense or order from any court or judge and authorize them to make, acknowledge and deliver such
<br />deeds for the same or any part thereof as may be necessary or proper to pass title thereto.
