<br />LAST WILL AND-TESTAAENT OF JACOB D.THODE,
<br />I, Jacob
<br />D.Thode,
<br />of Grand Island,Nebraska, being of sound mind and disposing memory, do make and
<br />publish
<br />this, my
<br />last will and testament, in the manner and form following, that is to say:
<br />First.
<br />I direct
<br />that my
<br />just debts, if any, and the expenses attending my burial, be first paid out of my
<br />personal
<br />estate.
<br />Second.
<br />I give, devise and bequeath all the rest, residue and remainder of the estate, both real and per-
<br />sonal, of whi..h I shall die the owner, to my beloved wife, Mary Thode, for her natural life, she
<br />to receive the rents, issues and income therefrom and to use so much of the principal of my personal
<br />estate as may be necessary for her proper support and- maintenance during her natural life.
<br />Third.
<br />Subject to the life use thereof bequeathed and devised to my said wife in the second paragraph
<br />hereof, I give, devise and bequeath all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real
<br />and personal, as follows: to my children, George Thode, Herman Thode, Henry Thode, Detlef Thode,
<br />Harry Thode, Lena Stueben, Amanda Rehder, and Clara Thode, each an undivided one -ninth (1/9) in-
<br />terest therein and to my grand -sons, Clarence Baasch and Harry Baasch, sons of my deceased daughter,
<br />Emma Baasch, each an undivided one - eighteenth (1/19) part thereof.
<br />Fourth.
<br />I nominate and appoint The First National Bank of Grand Island, Nebraska, as Executor of this will.
<br />Sixth.
<br />I hereby revoke any and all former wills made by me.
<br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this 7" day of January, A.D. 1931.

<br />testament and we, at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other, have here-

<br />I, Paul N.Kirk, Judge of the County .Court in and for said County, do hereby certify that on the
<br />20th day of May 1939, the instrument purporting to be the last will and testament of Jacob D.Thode,
<br />deceased, was filed for probate in this Court. That on the 20th day of June 1935, said instrument
<br />to which this certificate is attached was duly proved, probated and allowed as the last will and
<br />testament of the real and personal estate of said Jacob D.Thode, deceased, and the same was ordered
<br />to be recorded in the records of the Court aforesaid.
