<br />WILL AND DECREE
<br />IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN

<br />'I, Peter N.Mewes of the County of Hall and State of Nebraska, being of sound mind and memory and
<br />considering the uncertainty of this mortal, life, do hereby make, ordain, publish and declare this
<br />as and for my last Will and Testament, that is to say:
<br />First. I order and direct that my executrix hereinafter named, pay all of my just debts and fune
<br />e
<br />expenses as soon after my decease as conveniently may be.

<br />Second. After the payment of such funeral expenses and debts, I give, devise and bequeath unto my
<br />,daughter Minna Dankert, the sum of Five Dollars ($5.00); to my daughter Anna Lauver, the sum of
<br />jFive Dollars ($5.00); to my daughter Alma Schmidt, the sum of Five Dollars ($5.00); to my son
<br />Herman Mewes, the sum of Five Dollars ($5:00); to my daughter Emma SchWyn, the sum of Five Dollare
<br />($5.00); to my daughter Laura Mewes, the sum of Five Dollars ($5.00); to my daughter Ella Roeser,
<br />the sum of Five Dollars ($5.00); to my son Alvin Mewes, the sum of Five Dollars ($5.00); to have
<br />and to hold forever.
<br />Third. After the payment of the aforesaid legacies, I give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved
<br />wife Margaretha Mewes, all of my property, real, personal or mixed, which I now have or may here-
<br />after acquire, to have and to hold forever. The intention being to give my said children each the
<br />sum of Five Dollars ($5.00) and to my wife all of the rest, residue and remainder of my said estat
<br />Fourth. I hereby make, constitute and appoint my wife, Margaretha Mewes, executrix of this my lac
<br />Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
<br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal in the City of Grand
<br />Island, Nebraska, this 12th day of February, 1924.

<br />I, J.H.Mullin, Judge of the County Court in and for said County, do hereby certify that on the
<br />lath day of November 1926, the instrument purporting to be the last will and testament of Peter N.
<br />Mewes, deceased, was filed for probate in this Court. That on the 7 day of December, 1926, said
<br />instrument to which this certificate is attached was duly proved, probated and allowed as the last
<br />will and testament of the real and personal estate of said Peter N.Mewes, deceased, and the same
<br />was ordered to be recorded in the records of the Court aforesaid.
