<br />I direct that upon my death my Executors, hereinafter named,-shAll take possession of all cash
<br />money, notes, certificates of deposit or other securities owned by me and after paying such items'

<br />I further ratify and confirm all of the aforesaid Will except the said "Sixth" item thereof, in
<br />place of which this Codicil is to be.

<br />We whose names are hereto subscribed, do hereby certify, that Hans Heinrich Nicolaus Guelzow, the
<br />Testator, subscribed his name to the foregoing instrument in our presence and in the presence of
<br />each of us and declared at the same time in our presence and hearing that the said instrument was
<br />a codicil to his Last Will and Testament, which said Last Will and Testament was executed on the
<br />15th day of January, 1898, and was then in his hands and exhibited to us, whereupon we, at his
<br />request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereto set our hands as attest.

<br />On this 2 day of September, 19051 the within codicil to the Last Will and Testament of Hans Heinr
<br />Nicolaus Guelzow was duly proved before me, J.H.Mullin, County Judge of said County, according to
<br />law, as the codicil to the Last Will and Testament of the real and personal estate of said deceas
<br />and the same was admitted to probate and duly recorded in this office.

<br />Letters testamentry were issued thereupon to said executors and due and legal notice was given
<br />creditors to file claims, if any there might be, but no claims were so filed and the claims agaim
<br />said estate were settled and paid by said executors; that the time has long since expired for the
<br />filing of claims and that any claims there might be not filed,.be and the same are hereby foreverl'i
<br />barred and all persons are enjoined from filing any claims in this estate.

<br />as are mentioned in the First Paragraph of this dill, they shall invest the same and keep it in-
<br />vested in interest bearing securities or in certificates of deposit bearing interest and pay all
<br />interest or profits derived therefrom to my wife as long as she shall live and all the balance of

<br />my personal property I give, devise and bequeath to my said wife for and during the term of her
<br />natural life. Within one year after the death of my said wife, if my said son Hans Heinrich
<br />Guelzow, survives her, I direct that my said Executors shall pay out of my personal estate, which
<br />shall include such personal property as remains of what is herein given to my wife for life, One
<br />half of the Legacies mentioned in item or paragraph "Fifth" hereof, and my said son Hans Heinrich)
<br />Guelzow shall pay one half of said Legacies, and upon said Legacies being thus paid in full; I
<br />hereby give, devise and bequeath to my son Wilhelm Nicolaus Guelzow all the rest, residue and
<br />. I
<br />remainder of my personal property, of any and all kinds, including money, notes, securities or of
<br />whatever the same may then consist, to have and to hold the same to himself in absolute title;
<br />Provided however, should my said son, Hans Heinrich Geulzow, depart this life prior to the decease
<br />of my said wife, then and in that case, I direct that my Executors shall pay the whole of the
<br />amount of the said Legacies mentioned in item "Fifth" hereof instead of 1/2 thereof, before the
<br />residue and remainder of my personal property shall be turned over to my said son Wilhelm Nicolaus

<br />Guelzow as mentioned in this item.
