<br />The Court/ inds that said John Schmidt departed this life on the 23rd Day of April, 1933, testate,
<br />a widower, leaving a last will which will was admitted to probate in this court and is in words
<br />figures as follows;
<br />"THE LAST WILL OF TJOHN SCHMIDT
<br />I, John Schmidt of Grand Isl and,Hall County, Nebraska, hereby make this my last will and testament
<br />hereby revoking all former wills.
<br />I appoint my son, Gehrd, Executor of this will and direct that his compensation be fixed at $50.
<br />and no more.
<br />To my said son Gehrd Schmidt, I give and devise the Northeast Quarter (1*) of Section Twenty -two
<br />(22) in Township Eighteen (18) North, Range Twelve (12) ;West of the 6th P.M., in Greeley County,
<br />Nebraska, to have and to hold to him and his heirs forever.
<br />To tmy son, John Schmidt, I give and devise lots Sixty -three (63), Sixty -four (64)_, Sixty -seven (6
<br />and Sixty -eight (68) in Hawthorne Place, a subdivision in Grand Island)Hall County, Nebraska, to
<br />have and to hold to him and his heirs forever. In addition, I give and bequeath unto him, my
<br />said son, John Schmidt, the sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5000.00) to have and to hold to him an
<br />his heirs forever.
<br />To my daughter, Anna Schmidt Shealds, I give and devise the North Half of the Northwest Quarter
<br />(NJ WW ) of Section Twenty -three (23) Township Nine (9),North, Range Nine (9), hest of the Sixth
<br />P.M.; Hall ~County, Nebraska, to have and to hold to her and her heirs forever.
<br />To my daughter Minna Schmidt Decker, I give and devise the South Half of the Northwest Quarter
<br />(S2 NwJ) of Section Twenty -three (23) Township Nine (9) North, Range Nine (9) West of the Sixth
<br />P.M. , Hall County, Nebraska, to have and to hold to her and her heirs forever.
<br />To my daughter, Lena Schmidt Shealds, I give and devise the North Half of the Southwest Quarter
<br />(N2 SWJ) of Section Twenty -three (23) Township Nine (9) North, Range Nine (9) ;West of the Sixth
<br />P.M.; Hall County, Nebraska, to have and to hold to her and her heirs forever.
<br />The rest, residue and remainder of my estate I give devise and bequeath to my five children in
<br />like parts, after the payment of my just debts and the costs of probating this will.
<br />In the event that any of my children shall attempt to setthis will aside, I hereby revoke their
<br />legacy and devise.given to such child, and instead of the provision above made for him or her, I
<br />give such child Twenty -five Dollars ($25.00) and no more.
<br />Done at Grand Island,Nebraska, this 5th.day of August, A.D.,1925.

<br />The foregoing was at the date thereof, signed, sealed, published and declared by said Testator as
<br />and for his last will in our presence and we in his presence and at his special request and in the

<br />I, Paul N.Kirk, Judge of the County Court in and for said County, do hereby certify that on the
<br />27th day of April 19331 the instrument purporting to be the last will and testament of John Schmitt
<br />deceased, was filed for probate in this Court. That on the 23rd day of May 1933, said instrument
<br />to which this certificate is attached was duly proved, probated and allowed as the last will and
<br />testament of the real and personal estate of said John Schmidt, deceased, and the same was ordere
<br />to be recorded in the records of the Court aforesaid.
