<br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That I, John J.Carey of Wood River, Hall County, Nebraska, being
<br />of sound mind and disposing memory, thanks to Almighty God for the same, do hereby make, publi�h
<br />and declare this my last will and testament in the manner and form following, to -wit:
<br />1. I,direct that my just debts, including funeral expenses and expenses of my last sickness be!I

<br />first paid by my Executor hereinafter named.
<br />11. I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved sister, Margaret Bulger, the Southwest Quarter o�
<br />the Northeast Quarter (SWJ NEJ) of Section Seven (7), Township Ten (10) North, Range Eleven (1p,
<br />West of the 6th P.M. in Hall County, Nebraska) subject, however, to an undivided one - fourth ofjl

<br />the mortgage now on said premises and the adjoining premises. My intention being that the sai(.
<br />Margaret Bulger shall assume one - fourth of the $3500.00 mortgage now on said premises. I further
<br />direct that she shall pay to my beloved brother, Matthew C.Carey, the sum of One Hundred Dol
<br />($100.00).
<br />11 -111. I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved sister, Elizabeth F.Carey, the Southeast Quarte
<br />of the Northeast Quarter (SE1 NEJ) of Section Seven (7), Township Ten (10),North, Range Eleven
<br />(11),West of the 6th P.M. in Hall County, Nebraska, subject, however, to an undivided one -f
<br />of the mortgage now on said premises and the adjoining premises. My intention being that the
<br />said Elizabeth F.Carey shall assume one - fourth of the $3500.00 mortgage now on said premises.
<br />I further direct that she shall pay my beloved brother, Matthew C.Carey, the sum of One Hundre
<br />Dollars ($100.00).
<br />1V. I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved brother, Matthew C.Carey, the North Half of the
<br />Northeast Quarter (N2 NEJ) of Section Seven (7), Township Ten (10,),North, Range Eleven (11),
<br />West of the 6th P.M. in Hall County, Nebraska. Subject, however, to an undivided one -half of
<br />the mortgage which is now on said premises and adjoining premises in the sum of $3500.00. My
<br />intention being that the said Matthew C.Caxey shall pay one -half of said mortgage. I further
<br />direct that in the event the mortgage above described is paid during my life time and another
<br />,mortgage placed thereon that the foregoing bequests made to my sisters and brother above named
<br />shall each bear his and her proportionate share of the indebtedness against said premises in
<br />the event the same are mortgaged.
<br />V. I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved sister, Elizabeth F.Carey my policy of life in-
<br />surance in the National Life Association in the sum of Two Thousand ($2,000.00) Dollars which
<br />was heretofore payable to my beloved mother.
<br />Vl. I hereby direct that my beloved brother, Matthew C. Carey shall pay to each of my brothers
<br />and sisters, the sum of One Hundred ( #100.00) Dollars as provided in the terms and conditions
<br />of the Will of my- beloved father, now deceased. The same being a charge against the above
<br />described premises.
<br />Vll. All of the rest, residue and remainder of my property, I give, devise and bequeath to my
<br />beloved brother, Matthew C.Carey, the same to belong to him absolutely.
<br />V111. I hereby name, nominate and appoint my beloved brother, Matthew C.Carey as Executor of
<br />this my last will and Testament and I hereby direct that he shall not be required.to give any
<br />bond as such Executor. I hereby revoke any and all former wills by me made.
<br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my name to the foregoing instrument consisting
<br />of two pages of typewritten matter, both of which are identified by my signature, at Grand Isl
<br />Nebraska, this 27th day of February, A.D. 1924.
