<br />LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF BETHUEL KNOX. 
<br />In the name of God, Amen: I, Bethuel Knox, of the County of Hall and State of Nebraska, con_;, 
<br />sidering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of sound mind and memory,blessed be God 
<br />for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, 
<br />that is to say:

<br />F'IRST 
<br />- 
<br />I direct that my funeral charges, expenses of administering my estate, and all of my debts 
<br />be paid out of my personal property. If that be insufficient I authorize my executor herein-Ili 
<br />after named to sell so much of my real estate as may be necessary for that purpose. 
<br />SECOND'- 
<br />I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Martha Ann Knox, in lieu of dower and of any distribu- 
<br />tive share in my estate to which she would otherwise be entitled, all household goods and fur4i- 
<br />ture, all farm implements, one team of horses, wagon and harness, and two cows, to be by her 
<br />selected; and the use of all my other property,both real and personal, of every kind or nature, 
<br />of which I may die seized or possessed of,whether now owned by me or not, so long as she remains 
<br />MY widow. If, however, she- my said wife- should marry again, then in that case her fight to 
<br />all of the aforesaid property.shall cease, save and except the household goods and furniture ,' 
<br />all farm implements, one team of horses, wagon and harness and two cows, and the use of the 
<br />South -east Quarter (S.E.1 /4) of Section Sixteen (16), Township Ten (10), North of Range Ten 
<br />(10),West', in Hall County.; gebraska. 
<br />-TH I RD- 
<br />I give and bequeath all of my property, both real, personal and mixed, of which I may die

<br />seized, to my children, Charles Thomas Knox, Everett Ellsworth Knox, Harriett Elizabeth Knox,_; 
<br />Ora Jelesa Knox, Viola Knox, Wesley Knox, Ellis Lee Knox, Tilden Knox, Frank PKnox, and 
<br />Forest G.Knox,share and share alike as tenants in common, subject only to the rights of my 
<br />said wife therein as hereinbefore provided. 
<br />In case any of my said children shall die in my life time, or in the life time of my said wifee, 
<br />leaving issue or descendants, I direct that his or her share shall not lapse but shall pass tl 
<br />and become the property of their respective descendants in equal proportions. 
<br />If my said wife should marry, then all of the aforesaid property shall then be divided among 
<br />my aforesaid children as hereinbefore directed, save and except the aforesaid household goods;'
