<br />WILL AND CERTIFICATE
<br />LAST'.WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JAMES A.SMITH.
<br />I,James A.Smith,of Grand Island,Nebra,ska,being of full age,and of sound,disposing mind,
<br />memory and understanding,but aware of the uncertainties of life,do hereby make,publish and
<br />�i declare the following as armd for my last will and testament here pr expressly revoking any
<br />and all former wills by me made;that is to say:
<br />ITEM FIRST :I desire,a.nd 'hereby direct,that all my just debts,including the expenses of my
<br />last illness and burial,be first fully paid and satisfied.
<br />ITEM SECOND: Subject to the fore$&ng,and after the payment of my debts,I hereby give,
<br />devise and bequeath unto my wife,Mary Etta Smith,a one - fourth interest in my property and
<br />estate,to be hers absolutely.
<br />ITEM THIRD: All the rest,residue and remainder of my estate,of whatsoever kind or des-
<br />cription,and wherever located,I hereby give,devise and bequeath unto my children,George
<br />A.Smith,Mabel Eleanor Mellick,and Merle A.Smith,share and share alike,to be theirs absolutely
<br />ITEM FOURTH: I hereby nominate and appoint my son,George A.Smith,as Executor of this my
<br />last will and testament,and hereby expressly exempt him from the necessity of giving bond
<br />as such.
<br />Bated at Cedar Falls,Iowa,this 6th day of February,A.D.1928.
