<br />equal shares,The South half of the Southwest Quarter and the South -west quarter of the Southeast
<br />quarter and the Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section Sixteen (lb) and the South-
<br />west quarter of the Northwest quarter of Beetion Twenty One (21),all in Township Ten (10) North,
<br />Range Eleven (11),Pest,in Hall COunty,Nebraske and direct that they shall,within six months
<br />after the death of my said wife,pay to my daughters,Francis M.Hardy,Mary A.Hewitt,Bridget L.
<br />Finan,Alice E. Finan,and to my son,John J. Finan,the sum of Foie Hundred Dollars each (making a total
<br />of Two Thousand ($2,000) Dollars to be paid to said five last named children) with interest thereon
<br />at seven per centum per annum from the date of the death of my said wife; that said sum of $2,000
<br />required to be paid to my said five children,last above named,by said James P. Finan,Catherine
<br />A.Finan and Nellie F.Finan,shall be a lien upon the premises above devised to them,im favor of
<br />said five 'Lhildren to whom same is given.

<br />All of the rest,residae and remainder of my estate and property, "of whatsoever kind,I give,deviee
<br />and bequea.th,in equal shares,to my said wife,Ann Finan,and my said children,Andrew P. Finan,
<br />James P. Finan,Catherine A. Finan,Nellie F. Finan,francis M. Hardy,Mary A. Hewitt,Bridget L. Finan,
<br />Alice E. Finan and John J. Finan,and direct that, if any of my said children should die,prior to
<br />my death,leaving issue or descendants,then his share of my estate as herein given and devised
<br />shall ndt lapse,but shall descend to and be paid to such issue or descendants by right of repre-
<br />sentation,a.s provided by laws of descend of the State of Nebraska.
<br />S I XTH.
<br />I name,nominate and appoint my daughter,Catherine A. Finan,a.nd my son,Andrew P. Finan, executrix
<br />and executor of this,my last will and testament,hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
<br />IN TESTIMONY ,VHEREOF,I have hereunto signed my name to this will,consisting of two pages of
<br />typewritten matter,both identified by my signature,on this 14th day of Apri1,A.D.1913.

<br />CODICIL TO THE WILL OF PATRICK FINAN.
<br />I,Patrick Finan,of wood River,Hall County,Nebra.ska,being of sound mind and disposing memory,
<br />do make and publish the following Codicil to my will heretofore made by me under date of April
<br />14th,1913,as follows:
<br />FIRST.
<br />Since the making of said last will and testament,above referred to,my wife,Ann Finan,has
<br />died and I hereby give and bequeath to my daughters,Catherine A.Finan,and Nellie T.Finan,in equal
<br />shares,all and singular of my household goods and furniture of every kind and nature.
<br />By reason of the death of my said wife,Ann Finan,the life estate given to her in the second
<br />clause of my said will above referred to,cannot become effective and said second clause of my
<br />said will is hereby revoked and I direct that my said property and the estate ( except the house-
<br />hold goods and furniture bequeathed herein) shall at my death,imme diately pass and descend as
<br />proViddd in the bhird,fourth and fifth clauses of my said will above referred to,same being hereby
<br />ratified and re-af f irmed. I make no other or different changes in the devisee and bequests of my
<br />said will than as hereinabove expressly set forth.
