<br />LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF FRED MEIER.
<br />I,Fred Meier of the City of Grand Island,Hall Count y, Nebraska, being of sound and disposing mind,
<br />memory and understanding,and mindful of the uncertainty of this mortal life,do make,publish and
<br />declare this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following,hereby revoking
<br />all former wills executed by me:-
<br />ITEM FIRST:
<br />I direct my executrix,hereinafter named,to pay all my just debts,the expense of my last sick -
<br />ness,funeral charges and testamentary expenses as soon after my death as may be precticable
<br />• ITEM SECOND:
<br />I give,devise and bequeath to my wife,Catharina Meier,all of my property,real and personal,
<br />and wheresoever situated,for her use,benefit and enjoyment as long as she shall live.
<br />ITEM THIRD:
<br />Subject to the life estate given to my wife in the second item of this instrument,I give,devise
<br />and bequeath all of the property of which I shall die possessed,real and personal,and whereso-
<br />ever situated,to my three daughters;Helen Me.ier;'Anna Meier and Elma Meier,in equal shares.
<br />Should either of my daughters die before I do,leaving issue,then it is my will that such
<br />issue shall take the share their mother wo-gld have taken had she lived.
<br />I TERM FOUR:
<br />I hereby nominate and appoint my wife,Catharina Meier,to be the executrix of this my last
<br />will and testament,and I request that she be not required to give bond for the performance of h6r
<br />duties as such executrix.
<br />In--.testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this 31st day of Ma.y,1916.

<br />We,whose names are hereunto,subscribed,do hereby certify that Fred Meier,the testator,subscribed
<br />his name to this instrument in opur presence and in the presence of each of us,and declared at
<br />the same time in our presence and hearing that this instrument was his last will and testament,
<br />and we at his request sign our names hereto in his presence,and in the presence of each other,
<br />as attesting witnesses.
