<br />I,Bertha Hexter,of the city of Grand Island,County of Hall and State of Nebraska,do hereby
<br />make publish and declare this my last will and testament,in manner and form-following:-
<br />ITEM FIRST.
<br />It is my will and wish that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my
<br />decease as can be conveniently done.
<br />ITEM SECOND.
<br />I give,devise and bequeath unto my husband,Samuel Hexter,of Grand Island,Nebraska,should he
<br />survive me,all my estate (except the sum of $250.00 bequeathed to charity by Item Sixth)real,per.
<br />sonal and mixed,of whatever kind and wherever situate,including all my wearing apparel,personal
<br />ornaments and keepsakes and the following described real estate situated in Hall County,Nebraskal
<br />to- wit:Lots Seven (7) and Eight (8) in Block One Hundred and Seven (107),in Union Pacific Railroad
<br />Company's Addition to the City of Grand Island,now owned by me,and all other property,real,
<br />personal or mixed,hereafter acquired by me,to have and to hold the same unto my said husband ab -1
<br />solutely and forever.
<br />ITEM THIRD.
<br />Should my said husband die before me,then I give,devise and bequeath all my said estate,real,
<br />personal and mixed,of whatever kind and wherever situate,now owned or hereafter acquired by me,
<br />except the legacy in Item Sixth,to my three daughters,Miriam Veit of Grand Island,Nebraska,
<br />Florence Hirsch of St.Joseph,Missouri and Maud Cady of Hastings,Nebraska,if they survive me,to
<br />be divided and distributed among my said daughtere,equally,share and share alike,tb have and
<br />to hold the same unto my said daughters absolutely and forever.
<br />Item Fourth.
<br />Itgm Fourth.
<br />If my said husband should not survive me,and should any or all my children die before I do,
<br />leaving a child or children living at my death,such child or children of such deceased daughter'
<br />or daughters,,114a thb; case may be,shall take the share that his,her or their parent would have
<br />taken if then living by representation,but if any of my said daughters- should die before me,
<br />leaving no child or children living at my death,then the devises and legacies to such daughter
<br />or daughters.�shall lapse and shall go to the daughter or daughters me surviving or the living
<br />children of any deceased daughter or daughters by representation as hereinbefore provided.
<br />ITEM FIFTH.
<br />I give and bequeath unto the Cleveland Orphan Asylum of Cleveland,Ohio,conducted and carried on by
<br />the Jewish people,by whatever name it may be legally designated,the sum of Two Hundred and Fifty,.
<br />Dollars for an annual memorial service called and known as "Katish" among the Jewish people and'also
<br />sometimes called "Jahrzeit" to be paid by my executor hereinafter named within sixth months
<br />after my death.
