<br />THE FOLLOWING IS A SYNOPSIS OF THE PROCEFD111GS HAD IN THE'COUNTY COURT OF SEWARD, COUNTY,
<br />IN THE MATTER OF THE ESTATE OF JFRFI IAH STUTZMAN DECEASED.
<br />On Feb. 21,1918, Eliza Stutzman filed a petition in said Court, verified as required by law,
<br />alleging that Jermiah Stutzman, late a resident of Seward County Nebraska, died on or about Febj
<br />ruary 15,1918 leaving no list will and testament; and that said deceased died seized and possesk
<br />of real estate, to -wit: valued at 052000.00 and personal estate of the estimated value of $3500.q
<br />that he left him surviving as his only heirs at law, the following persons: Eliza Stutzman, age
<br />60 years, widow; Nora Gardner age 38, Mattie Stutzman 36, Rena Stutzman 26, Amanda Burkey 23 da
<br />Monroe Stutzman 35, Altine Stutzman 26, Marvin Stutzman 24 sons. said petitioner prayed that
<br />letters of Administration be granted to Arthur Burkey Court ordered that said petition be heard
<br />Burch 22nd 1918, at 9 o'clock A.M., and that notice thereof be given 3 successive weeks prior
<br />to said date, in Milford Review On FJiarch 22,1918, J.R.Patmore filed proof of publication of noti
<br />of said hearing, duly sworn to by himself before J.H.Yerkinson;O'Seward Co. Neb. Com..ex. 2- 6-192
<br />seal affixed, deposing that he was editor and publisher of Milford Review, a weekly newspaper,
<br />printed, published and of general circulation in Seward County, Nebraska; that said notice was
<br />published in said newspaper 3 consecutive weeks, the first insertion having been made on Februar�
<br />28,1918, and that at the time of publication, said newspaper was a legal newspaper, as defined
<br />by the Statutes of Nebraska. The filed notice shows March 22, 1918, in the County Court Room, in
<br />Seward,:Nebraska, as the time and place for said hearing.

<br />On March 22,1918 hearing was had on said petition. The Court heard the evidence of ordered
<br />letters of administration issued to Arthur Burkey, with bond fixed at 47000.00. and
<br />'On March 22,1918, Arthur Burkey filed a bond in the sum of $7000•:00, which wawa duly approved
<br />by the Court, took the oath as required by law, and letters of Administration were thereupon isi
<br />by said Court to Arthur Burkey as Administrator of said estate.
<br />The Court further ordered that three months from April 25,1918, be allowed creditors to pre-
<br />sent their claims against said estate, and one year from March 22,1918 for said Administrator
<br />to settle said estate. Court further ordered that notice be published in Milford Review four con
<br />secutive weeks, to creditors to appear before said Court on July 26, 1918 at 9 o'clock, A.M.,to
<br />present their claims against said estate.
<br />On Apr. • 20,1918, .T.E.Patmore filed proof of publication of "Notice to Creditors ", duly sworn
<br />to by him himself before J.H.Perkinson N.P.Seward Co.,Neb.Com.. ex. 2 -6 -1920 seal attached deposi�
<br />that he is editor and publisher of the Milford Review, a weekly newspaper printed, published, an

<br />On May 4,1918, said Administrator filed an inventory, showing following real estate:

<br />and the North half of the southeast quarter of Northeast quarter of Sec. 23 and South half of
<br />Southeast quarter of Northeast quarter of Sec. 23 all in Twp. 11 N. of Range 12,W. of the 6th
<br />P.M., in Hall County,Nebraska. (WOP)
<br />On May 4,1918, an appraisement was filed, signed by the appraisers heretofore appointed by
<br />Court, showing personal property valued at $4713.27
<br />On Aug.•23,1918, Eliza Stutzman filed a petition for widow's allowance. Aug.23,1918, Court
<br />allowed said widow $100 per month for one year from March 22,1918 and her statutory exemptions.
<br />On August 13,1918, hearing was had on claims and no claims were allowed. Hearing continued
