Murphy, of Wood River, Nebraska, being of sound mind and memory but mindful of the <br />ertainties of human life, do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament that is <br />to say- <br />-ITEM FIRST- <br />It is my will and cvish that all my just debts be first paid and satisfied. <br />-ITEM SECOND- <br />I give and bequeath to my grand- daughter, Helen Hockenberger, my watch and to my grand - daughte <br />Franc Hockenberger, my ring and to my daughter Mary E. Murphy, - now Mary E. Conklin, - all house <br />hold goods, waering apparel. keepsakes and personal ornaments. <br />ITEM THIRD- <br />I received from my husband's estate, upon the sale of the land in lieu of the 108 acres set o <br />to me as my dower and home - stead, $4067.28 Dollars and also $1249.49 belonging to the children <br />after the payment of what was due me from his estate making a total sum of $5316.77 out of this <br />sum I have advanced and paid to my daughter Ellen Fowlie, 530.32, which sum should be deducted <br />from the amount due her from her father's estate that is to say, there is due may children or the <br />issue of any deceased child on my death from their father's estate the following sums to -wit: <br />There is due my daughter, Ellen Fowlie ------------------------ $798.87 <br />There is due my daughter, Mary E. Murphy.- now Mary E. Conklin - $1329.19 <br />There is due my daughter, Alice A. Hockenberger, --------------- $1329.19 <br />There is due my son, Gilbert P. Murphy ------------------------ $1329.19 <br />It is my wish and will that these several sums be paid to each as soon as may be after my de- <br />:ease. <br />-ITEM FOURTH- <br />I give, devise and bequeath all the rest and residue of my estate to my children above named <br />share and share alike, and of any one or more of my children should die before my decease then <br />the issue of any deceased child to have the same share its parent would have received had such <br />parent been living at my death. Should any of my said children die without issue living at my., <br />death then the share of such child to be divided among the living children or living issue of <br />any deceased child share and share alike. <br />-ITEM 7I3TH- <br />All bequests to my daughters are made to them for their sole and separate use and benefit free <br />and clear of any control of the husband of any of said daughters. <br />-ITEM SIXTH- <br />I hereby nominate and appoint my son, Gilbert P. Murphy, and my son -in -law, Edward C. Hockenbe3 <br />ger, to be executors of this will and request that they be not required to give bonds as such <br />and that neither shall be held liable for the neglect or default of the other, and I do hereby <br />authorize them or the survivor of them to sell or convey any and all my property real, person$,1 <br />or mixed on such times and terms as they shall deem best without license or authority of any <br />Court for the making or confirming of such sales. <br />This document consisting of 3 pages typewritten on one side only, on the margin of each page <br />whereof I have affixed my signature, I hereby declare to be my last will and testament hereby <br />revoking all former wills by, me made. <br />Dated this 17th day of June 1902. <br />Emily A.
