1GLBZ <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT AND CODICIL TO WILL <br />WILL OF HENRY SCHLICETING, DECEASED. <br />3-594 <br />In the name of God, Amen: I Henry Schlichting, of the City of Grand Ijkland in the County of <br />Hall, and State of Nebraska, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of <br />sound mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, to make and publish this my last Wi; <br />and testament, in manner and form following that is to say, <br />FIRST• I direct that may funeral charges, the expenses of Administering my estate: and all my <br />debts be paid out of my personal property. <br />SECOND. I hereby appoint my beloved brother Wilhelm Schlichting, of the City of Grand Island, <br />Nebraska, Executor of this my last will and testament. <br />THIRD. As my estate consists only of personal property. I give and bequeath as follows: To <br />my beloved cousing Mary Storm, of Leaveng-worth Kansas, the sum of Fifty & no /100 Dollars ($50.00 <br />To my beloved cousin Dora Gauthier, of Leavensworth.Kansas, the sum of Fifty & no /100 Dollars <br />($50.00) To my beloved niecees, Alga and Anna Schroeder of New York 'City, each the dBum of Fifty <br />& no /100 Dollars. <br />Forth. After paying above. I direct that the balance of my estate in America, to be devided <br />as follows. to my beloved Mother 16`o also I give and bequeath to my beloved Mother, of Gramnitz <br />Germany, all my interest in 375 mark, that belongs to me, and unpaid yet to me, set apart in es- <br />tate of 'my beloved father as an interest in Housterei No 4 to Gra.mnitz Germany. To my beloved <br />brother Wilhelm Schlichting 18/"'.. To my beloved Sister Caroline Schlichting 24%. To my beloved <br />sister Sophie Mueller 240. To my beloved Step - sister Maria Maack, 18% To above I give and beq <br />full percentage as above named and stated. <br />FIFTH• I direct all those who owe me on note account bearing interest, be released of payi <br />interest for six months provided that they pay the notes in peace without trouble of collection. <br />SIXTH. I give and bequeath to my beloved brother Wilhelm Schlichting all my clothing, car- <br />penter tools, trunk and watch, and books. <br />We whose names are hereto subscribed, do certify that Henry Schlichting the testator, sub- <br />scribed his name to this instrument in our presence, and in the presence of each of us, and <br />declared at the same time in our presence and hearing that this instrument was his last Will <br />and testament and we at his request signed our names hereto in his presence and in the presence <br />of each other as attesting witnesses. <br />William Cornelius of Grand Island; Nebraska <br />John Knickrehm « « « a <br />Henry Garn « « n « <br />Signed this 9th day of August in the year of Our Lord One Thousand eight hundred & ninety five. <br />CODICIL TO WILL OF HENRY SCHLICHTING. <br />I Henry Schlichting, of Grand Island., Nebraska, within named testator do hereby make and publish <br />this codicil to my last will & testament bearing date the - - - - - -- day of Aug. 1895. <br />ITEM: It is my will that the bequest to my Sister Mary Maack, be changed from 18% to 14% and <br />that shall receive only 14% of my said estate. <br />ITEM: It is my will that the bequest to my Sister Sophia Miller, shall be changed from 24f to <br />25% and that she shall receive 25% of my said estate, <br />ITEM: It is my will that the bequest to my Sister Caroline Schlichting shall be changed from <br />24`0 to 25% and that she shall receive 25jo of my said estate. <br />ITEM: <br />It is my <br />will <br />that the <br />bequest <br />to may brother William Schlichting shall be changed from <br />18% to <br />20`/ and <br />that <br />he shall <br />receive <br />20fo of my said estate. <br />That with the exceptions above noted of the changes " the percentages which my said sisters <br />and brother shall receive: it is my will that the said last will & testament shall stand in <br />ll <br />
