It is my will that the said $275.00 shall be treated as an advancement made by me for the use; of my son Detlef to cover the cancellation of which this legacy is made in the event that any dif- ficulty should arise should said note not be found at my decease. 9. I give and devise the remainder of the following real estate:- The westerly one hundred feet of the north half of lot ten of the County Subdivision of the south half of the south -east quarter of section 16, township 11, north of range 9 west 6N P.M. that being my home in Grand Island, after the death of my wife, to my son Ernst to have and to hold to him and to his heirs forever, after my wife's death. -3- 10. I give and bequeath to each of my daughters Laura wife of Bernhard Ewoldt and to Annie, wife of Fritz Scheel, and to their respective heirs, executors and administrators, the sum of fif -j 'teen hundred twenty five Dollars ($1525.00), to be paid to each of them after the death of my wife! in the manner as directed in the next paragraph hereof. i 11. Fritz Scheel and his wife Annie are indebted to me in the sum of fifteen hundred twenty five dollars ($1525) and Bernhard Ewoldt and his wife Laura are indebted to me in the sum of fif- teen ; teen hundred twenty five ($1525) dollars, these sums representing cash loans to them. I hereby order and direct that my executors hereafter named shall collect said sum of money from the afore-!, ,,said persons and that said executors and their successors shall safely and securely invest said !sums of money, namely 43050 so collected in securities bearing an annual interest of not less thanl five per centum and that said interest amounting to not less than $152.50 per annum shall be paid annually by said executors and their successors in office to my wife during her natural life. I Further direct that after the death of my wife, said sum of $3050 invested as aforesaid shall be divided into equal parts and one part thereof shall be paid by my executors to my. daughter Laura and a like sum to my daughter Annie in full of the legacies set out to each of them in the fore- going paragraph, namely, paragraph 10. C 12. The rest, residue and remainder of my estate I give to my beloved wife Annie and to her Tleirs forever.
