<br />WILL AND DECREE: -1-
<br />IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN:
<br />I,Friedrich matthiessen, of Hall County, Nebraska, being of sound mind and memory, blessed
<br />be Almighty God for the same, and considering the uncertainties of this mortal life and revoking
<br />all former wills made by me do make, publish and declare this my last will in manner and form
<br />following, that is to say : -
<br />1. I direct that my funeral expenses, the expenses of my last sickness and all my just
<br />debts be paid out of may personal property by my executors.
<br />2. I give and devise to my beloved wife all my real estate to have and to hold during her
<br />natural life.
<br />3. I give and devise the remainder of the follow -ing described real estate, to -wit:- '
<br />The south half of the southwest quarter of section thirty four, township eleven, north of
<br />range nine, west 6" P.M. and the north half of the northwest quarter of section three township
<br />ten, range nine West 60 P.M. and the north half of lots two and three in section one, township -
<br />ten, range nine West 60 P.M. after the death of my wife to my son Julius Matthiessen, to have and
<br />to hold, with all tenements and appurtenances thereto belonging to my said son and to his heirs
<br />forever after my wife's death.
<br />4. I give and devise the remainder of the following described real estate, all in Hall
<br />County, Nebraska, after the death of my wife, viz: -
<br />The northwest quarter of the southwest quarter of section thirty -four, township eleven, range
<br />nine to my grand -son Fred Matthiessen: I
<br />The northeast quarter of the southwest quarter of section thirty -four in township eleven,
<br />range nine to my grandson Harry:
<br />The northeast quarter of the southeast quarter of section thirty -three (33) township eleven,
<br />range nine to my grandson Arnold:
<br />The northeast quarter of the northeast quarter of section thirty - three, township eleven (11),
<br />range nine to my grandson Otto. Said grandchildren being the sons of my deceased son Frederich.
<br />To have and to hold with all the tenements and appurtenances thereto belonging to my said grand-
<br />children and to their heirs forever after my wife's death,
<br />5. I give and devise the remainder of the following described real estate, all in Hall
<br />County, Nebraska, after the death of, my Wife, viz: -

<br />Lot No. one in Southwest quarter of the southeast quarter of section thirty six, township
<br />eleven, range nine.and the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter of section twenty seven,
<br />township eleven, range nine and the Best half of the northeast quarter of section thirty four,
<br />township eleven, Ir -ange nine, to my son Ernst, this being the farm of about 157 acres upon which
<br />he now resides, to have and to hold with all thetenements and appurtenances thereto belonging to
<br />him and his heirs forever, after my wife's death.
<br />6. I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaretha Lilienthal the sum of four hundred dollars
<br />to be paid to her, her heirs, executors and administrators within thirty days after my death.
<br />7. I give and bequeath to Hannah Mdthiessen, wife of my son Detlef, the sum of three hundred
<br />dollars to be paid to her, her heirs, executors and administrators within thirty days after my
<br />death.
<br />S. I give to ray son Detlef the sum of two hundred seventy five dollars, for which he is in-
<br />debted to me on a prom- issory note which note he gave my son Julius for money Julius loaned him
<br />and which note I paid my son Julius, but which note Detlef has never paid. It is the purpose of
<br />this bequest to thereby release h4, my son Detlef, from further obligations on said note and I
<br />hereby direct that said note be delivered, cancelled, to Detlef to all intent and purpose as if
<br />said note had been paid by Detlef, and the cancellation of said debt to be'full payment of this
<br />
