<br />Sixth: I give to my wife Louisa A. Doane, the avails if any, of any accident policy which
<br />may be in force at the time of my decease, for her own sole use and benefit.
<br />Seventh:' My Cousin Reuben J. Baker, of South Yarmouth, Massachusetts, is indebted to me for
<br />money borrowed in the principal sum of four hundred dollars ($400 ) for which I hold his notes.
<br />I hereby direct that such notes shall be cancelled, and returned to hire without the payment by
<br />him of either principal or interest.
<br />Eighth: All the rest and residue of the property and estate of which I may die seized or
<br />possessed, or over which I may then have any power of disposition, I give, devise and bequeath
<br />unto the trus-tees hereinafter named to be by them held managed, and finally disposed of-upon
<br />the following trusts, namely: 1. Upon trust to allow my wife Louisa the use and occupation of
<br />the house where we now live, No. 8, Pearl Street, in that nart of Boston known as Charlestown,
<br />so long as she shall live and remain by widow, the cost of insurance, taxes, and ordinary
<br />repairs to be paid out of the income of the remaining trust property and funds. If at any
<br />time she prefers not to occupy said house the trustees may lease the same and pay over to her the
<br />entire rental as it may accrue for such time as she would be entitled to the occupation under
<br />the foregoing provision of this paragraph; and if at any time the premises shall be injured or
<br />destroyed by fire or if they shall be sold by the trustees under the powers hereinafter conferred
<br />upon them, then any insurance collected, so far as not applied to rebuilding, and any proceeds of
<br />sale, shall be held by said trustees as a distinct fund, and the income thereof paid over to her
<br />for such time as she would have been entitled to occupation under the foregoing provision of this
<br />paragraph; and upon her death or re-marriage the said property or the proceeds thereof, shall be
<br />held, as a part of the capital of said trust fund for the purposes hereinafter directed.
<br />11. The net income of the remainder of said trust property and estate, remaining after the pay-
<br />ment of said trust property and estate, remaining after the payment of the sums above directed
<br />C,
<br />for the care of the cemetery lot and for the charges upon the estate on Pearl Street, I direct to
<br />be paid out as follo,,,Ts, namely:- Unto my sister, Martha Doane, the sun of three hundred and
<br />fifty dollars (.1,350) annually, in semi-annual instalments during her life.
<br />Unto my brother Charles W. Doane, the sum of seven hundred dollars (1700) annually, in semi-
<br />annual instalments, during his life, and upon and after his death the same sum shall be so paid
<br />unto such of his children by representation as may be living and under the age of twenty-one
<br />years at the time of each payment respectively, including herein as well children born after my
<br />death as those then living. Unto my wife Louis,the sum of seventeen hundred and fifty dollars
<br />(1750) annually, in semi-annual instalments, so long as she may live and remain unmarried;
<br />and the provision made for my wife in this my will shall be in lieu of dower or other dis-
<br />tributive portion of my estate . Unto each of my children, Relen Doane Perry, John Doane,
<br />Caroline Doane 7.7eeden and Frances Doane Twombly, the sum of ten hundred and fifty dollars (11050)
<br />annually, in semi - annual instalments, during their respective lives; and upon and after the
<br />death of each respectively, the swne sum shall in each case be paid unto such of their respective
<br />children by representation as may be living at the time of each payment respectively, including
<br />as well children born after my death as those then living, such payments to my grandchildren
<br />to be continued until the termination of this trust as herein below directed in each case where
<br />there

<br />be not sufficient ito make all of the payments
<br />above directed I direct that they-be proportionately reduced; and if in any year there by an
<br />excess of income after all such payments have been made, and also after any payments which may
<br />be made under the po-urer conferred upon my trustees in the next succeeding paragraph, then
<br />such excess shall be paid over to Doane College at Crete, Nebraska, to be used for the general
<br />purposes of the College .
