<br />continiles, to keep in order and beautify the entire lot in which our bodies lie.

<br />Second: I give and bequeath unto my son John, if he survive me, and if he does not then in equal
<br />shares unto his children who may be living at my death, all my dra ,,ring and surveying instruments,
<br />my mathematical and Scientific books, my History of Cape Cod, and also all my note books and
<br />plans used or made in the business of my office as civil engineer.
<br />Third: All my articles of household use and ornament, personal effects which are of any value,i
<br />and books, except as herein be -fore provided, for I give to my wife Louisa A. Doane during
<br />her life, if she remain my widow, and upon her marriage or at her decease the same are to be
<br />divided among my children then living, in equal shares. Should any one or more of my children
<br />i
<br />have then deceased, the children of such deceased, if any, shall take by representation the
