<br /> KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTSt
<br /> THAT, WHEREAS, in an action in the District Cotzrt of the Eleventh
<br /> Judicial District of the State of Nebraska, within and for the Gounty of Hall,
<br /> xherein the County Board of Supervisors of Hall Countq, Nebra�ka, Ex Officio
<br /> The County Board of Public Welf�re, is plaintiff and�Cleo Smi.th, et als., are
<br /> defendants, No. 1l�1t51, Docket No. 1t9, Page No. 177, the plaintiff did, on tne
<br /> 28th day of December, 1961, obtain a decree findi.ng there to be due from the
<br /> defendants for old age assistance, in Cause of Action No. Five, the sum of
<br /> $1,176.60, accruing interest and costs of the suit, and, whereas, it was then
<br /> and there further ordered in the said action that in defauZt of the payment of
<br /> the sum so found due from the said defendants that the Sheriff of said County
<br /> of Hall should cause the lands and tene�nts hereinafter described to be
<br /> advertised and sold according to law to pay the same, and, whereas, default
<br /> having been made therein, the said Sheriff of said County, under and by virtue
<br /> of the said decree and the order of sale to him duly directed, did, on the bth
<br /> day of March� 1962� at the north door of the Court House in the City of Cirand
<br /> Island, Nebraska, in eaid County of Hall, having first given due and legal
<br /> notice of the time and place of said sale for not less than thirty days prior
<br /> thereto in the Grand Island Daily Independent, a legal newspaper, pri.nted and
<br /> in general circulation in said County of Hall, sell said premises at public
<br /> auction to Fred E. Norton and Anna B. Norton, husband and wife, as joint
<br /> tenants and not as tenaats in corrm►on, for the sum of One thousand two hundred
<br /> fifty and no/100 ($1,250.00) Dollars, (the total accrued costs of suit and
<br /> sale being $95.3�), �ich sale was afterwaxds on the 15th day of March, 1962,
<br /> examined and confirmed by the said Court and the said E. H. Stobbe as such
<br /> Sheriff, ordered to convey the said premises in fee simple to the said Fred E.
<br /> Norton and Anna B. Norton, husband and wife, as �oint tenants and not as
<br /> tenants in common.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, I, the said Sheriff of the County of Hall, as aforesaid,
<br /> in consideration of the premises and by virtue of the powers vested in me by
<br /> law and the decree of said Court, do hereby give, grant, and conve�* to the
<br /> said Fred E. Norton and Anna B. Norton, husband and wi£e, as joint tenants and
<br /> not as tenants in common, the premises so as aforesaid sold, to-wit: Lot 5ix
<br /> (6) in Block Nine (9), Scarffs Addition to West Lawn, in the City of Grand
<br /> Island, Hall County, Nebraska, as surveyed, platted and recorded, with the
<br /> appurtenances.
<br /> IT BEING THE INTENTION OF ALL PARTIES HERETO, THAT IN THE EVENT OF THE
<br /> DEATH OF EITHER OF SAID GRANTEES, THE ENTIRE FEE SIMPLE TITLE TO THE REAL ESTATE
<br /> DESCRIBED HEREIN SHALL VEST IN TI� SURVNING GRANTEE.
<br /> TO HAVE AND TO HOI,D THE SAME unto the said Fred E. Norton and Anna B.
<br /> Norton� husband and wife, as joint tenants and not as tenants in common, and
<br /> their heirs and assigns forever.
