<br /> KN(W ALL MEN BY THESF, PRESENTS: That I, JAMES E. LEWIS of the County of Hall, and State of Nebraska, now
<br /> a member of the armed forces of the United States and being temporarilq domiciled at Fort Bragg, North Carolina
<br /> d o by these presents hereby make, constitute and appoint My Wife ALICE C. LEWIS, of the County of Hall and
<br /> State of Nebraska, true and lawful attorney in fact for me and in my name, place and stead.
<br /> My true and lawful attorney in fact is expresslp authorized to act for me and in my name, place and
<br /> stead to negotiate, execute, acknawledge and deliver leases or deeds of conveyance upon anp and all real
<br /> property awned by me wheresoever, and may sell or lease with such covenants, conditions and p�rovisions as r�q*
<br /> said attorney in fact shall deem best and on such conditions as is to my attorney considered advisable; to
<br /> collect, receive and receipt for the purchase price or for all rents and money due and payable under the
<br /> leases or sale; and to mortgage, foreclose,mortgages, distrain and reenter for non-paptnent of rent; and, when
<br /> necessaxy, to make such repairs on the buildings and premises as in the judgment of n�y said attorney shall be �
<br /> neeessary or proper; to insure all buildings for such amounts and in such companies as m�y attorney shall
<br /> deem wise; and to pay all taxes an.d assessments which ma,y be lawfully imposed on said pren ises. It being
<br /> expressly intended tha.t my attorney in fact is authorized to do any and all things necessary in the 'sale,
<br /> lease and management of my real estate.
<br /> My attorney in fact is expressly authorized to collect all debts of whatever kind that may be due me,
<br /> and in my name give a full and cognplete receipt and discharge of the same. Also to adjust, compromise, and
<br /> in any way deemed advisable, to liquidate a11 claims due me which are disputed in good. faith, and to execute'
<br /> a release or releases or acquittances f or the same.
<br /> Upon recespt of any moneys under these presents, my attorney is to deposit the same in ariy bank which mmy
<br /> be selected by my attorney, in my name, and to withdraw the same to invest and reinvest the same or any part!
<br /> thereof, in my name ar otherwise as my attornep shall think fi�; and also out of such moneys pay anp premium�
<br /> on policies of insurance or other outgoings in respect to any part of my real or personal estate as my
<br /> attorney shalZ think fit; and to receive the dividends, interest and income arising from my personal estate
<br /> or any part thereof; to sign my name to and execute on my behalf all checks, contracts, transfers, assignments
<br /> and instruments whatsoever, and generally to act in relation to my estate and to the premises as fully and
<br /> effectually in a11 respects as I, myself, could do.
<br /> It is the intent of this instrument to grarit and give unto said attorney in fact full,°authoritq and
<br /> complete power to do and perform any and all other acts necesary or incident to the performance of the pawer
<br /> herein expressly grant�d, with the power to do and perform all acts necessary and incident to the sale,
<br /> management, control and performance of all property of which I am possess�and wherever located, �oth real '
<br /> and personal, tangible and intangible, negotiable or non-negotiab�e, including the power to borrow on insurance
<br /> policies or other property when deemed advisable, and the said attorney in fact may act as fully to all in-
<br /> tents and purposes as the gra.ntor might or could do if personally present, w ith full po�wers of substitution.
<br /> To execute vouchers in mp behalf for any and all a�lvwances and reimbursen�nts properly payable to me
<br /> by the Un�.xed States, including but not restricted to allowances and reimbursements for transpor�ation of
<br /> dependents or for shipment of household effects as authorized by law and Army Regulations, and tio receive,
<br /> indorse, and collect the proceeds of checks payable to the order of the undersigned drawn on the Treasurer
<br /> of the United States, f or whatsoever account and to execute in the name and on behalf of the undersigned,
<br /> all bonds, indemnities, applications, or other documents which map be required by lar� or regulations to
<br /> secure the issuances of such duplicate checks.
