SECTION 6. If the electors of the City of Grand Isl�,nd, authorize the transfer and use oP surplus light funds, the Mayor and Council may withou'G further vote oY the electors, transfer and use said surplus light funds in such amount as may be needed to pay for such acquiring, extension or enlarger�lent of Sycamore Street and the amount of damages that may accrue by the appropriation thereof and construction of such subway. SECTION 7. The special election herein called to be held on the said 6th day of April, 194�, shall be held at the following res�ective voting places, to-witt First District: At the election building on Sixth Street, between Vine Street and Oak Street. Second Dlstrict: At the Fire Depaxtment building on Fourth Street between Pine and Locust �treet. Third District: At the election building on North Elm Street, between Sixth Street and Seventh Street , Fourth District: At the election building on West Sixth 3treet, between Adazna Street and Jefferson Street. ' Fifth D�.strict: At the election buiZdin� on Seventeenth Street, and Broadwell Avenue. Sixth District: At the Chapel of the Soldier�s and Sailor� s Home. Seventh District: At the ��Tasmer School building in the 1600 block on West Division Street, between Monroe Street and Jackson Street. Eighth District: At the Barr Junior High School on 8outh Clark Street between Koenig and Charles Streets. The C�.ty Clerk of Grand Island, Nebraska sha.11 cause to be prepared, baiZots for the use in said election and said ballots to be pr�.nted on white paper and to be designated as ��fficial Ballots �i arrr�. upon aaid ballots shall be printed the propositiona embodied in subsections (A) and (Bj of Section 2 of this ordinance and at the left side of said bropositions the words uYE5�� and '�NO��, and a blank square under each of said words , �,11 in accordance with the form prescribed by �he general laws of the State of Nebraska, relative to elections in citie� of the f irst class. All electors who favor �he affirmative of said �propositions �aha11 mQke a cross in the blank opposi'�e said propositions and under the word �YESa and al.l electors who are opposed to said propositions sha11 ma.ke a cross in the blank square opbosite said propositions and - under the word �NOu. The proPositions herein referred to, shall be printed on se�arate ballots; the proposi- tion described in suU-section (A) of Section 2 hereof, shall be known and designated as proposition nu.mber one and the proposition referred to in sub-section (B) of said Section 2 of this ordinance shall be known a.nd designated as proposition number t�ro. SECTION 9. The registration booka for the revision and correction of the regi�tration record� of said City of Grand Island, Nebraeka, aha.11 be open at the office of the City Clerk during the time provided by law preceeding such election. SECTION 11. The same number of ,�udges and clerks of election ahall qua].iPy and serve in said election as qualify and serve in general elections and their duties shall likewise be the same. The returns of said election shall be made to the Mayor and Council of said � city and by them canvassed on the f irst Monday after said election and the resulta shall then be declared by said Mayor and Council. If a na�ority of the electors voting at said eleetion shall vote in favor of said proposition the same shall be declared to have been carried and the Mayor and Council sha11 be authorized to transfer and use said surplus light funda f or the payment of said damages, and the City� s proportionate share of said underpass. SECTION 12. Aa provided by law this ord3.nance sha11 be published in the Grand Island Daily Independent, a newspaper published �.n and of general circulation in the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, once each week for three issues. Said publication aha11 be sufficient notice to -�he owners and occupants whose property has been ha.s been appropriated for or dar�aged by the construct�.an of the subway and the ap��roaches thereto in said Sycamore Street.
