<br /> An ordinance vacating that part oP Elm Stree lying north oP the north line of Seventeenth
<br /> Street and South of the south 11ne oP State Street in the city of Grand Island, and pro-
<br /> viding that that portion oP said street so vacated be made a part,•of Grace Abbott Park in
<br /> sai8 Ci�y.
<br /> �1HEREAS, Grace Abbott Park in the City of Grand Island, is so laid out and situated that
<br /> a portion thereof lies on the east side of E1m Street and a part thereof on the weat side
<br /> of said street, and
<br /> '�THEREAS, that portion of Elm Street within said park area should be vao�.ted and made
<br /> a part oP Grace Abbott Paxk so as to provide a more beautiful, usePul and larger park.
<br /> THEREF�RE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF aRAND ISLAND,

<br /> SECTIDN 1. That that part of Elm Street lyin; north of the north line of Seventeenth
<br /> Street and south of the south line o� State Stree'G be and the same is hereby vaeated and

<br /> An ordinance vacating the north one hundred thirty-two (132) fe et of that part of EWana
<br /> 3�reet lying between Seventh (7th) Street and Eighth (�th) Street in the City of Grand
<br /> Island, Nebraska, and providing that the portion of said street so vac�,ted be used f or park
<br /> purpoaes.
<br /> Whereas, the Ci�y owns and mainta�ns a play round or park situated on the north one-
<br /> half (�) oP Block Five (5) and Fractional Six �6), of Lambert �s Addition and its Complement,
<br /> F'ractional Block Eleven (11) , of Voitle's Addition to the City o�' arand Island, and said
<br /> park extends east and west of Evans Street.
<br /> Whereas the north one hundred thirty-two (132) feet of that part of Evans Street lying
<br /> between Seventh (7th) Street and Eighth (�th� Street, should be vacated and made a part oP
<br /> said playground or park so as to n�ovide a more beautiful, useful and larger park.
<br /> THER�ORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,
<br /> NEBRASKA:
<br /> SECTION 1. That the north one hundred thirty-two (132) feet oP that part of E�rans
<br /> Street lying between Seventh (7th) Street and Eighth (�th) Htreet, in the City of Grand
<br /> Island, be and the same is hereby vacated and is hereby ordered made a part of the play-
<br /> g�'ound or park situated on the north one-half )2) of Blocks Five (5) and Fraetional Six
<br /> (6), of Lambert� s Addition to the City of Grand Island.
<br /> This ordinance shall be in Porce a.nd take effect from and aYter its passage, approval
<br /> and publication as provided by 1aw.
