<br /> The Government m�y, but shall not be required to, ��y on behalf of the Lessor any other
<br /> � taxes, assessments, tnunicip�.l anc� �overnmental r�t?s, �nd water rates, principal and interest
<br /> on liens, anc� other enctzmbrances on the Premises, not listed in this paragraph, due and un-
<br /> p�.id �t the time of the beginning of the term of this lease, in which �vent the Government
<br /> will deduct th? �mount of such payment or payments from �.ny rent or rents due or which be--
<br /> come due to the Lessor. y
<br /> 6. The Government agrees during the term of' this lease to p�.y each year all taxes and
<br /> water rates, �11 assessments ( �pecial or improvement), and municipal or governmental rates,
<br /> which are levied a.nd imposed upon said Premises, or any part thereof, and become due and
<br /> ' pay�ble c�urin; thP period covered by the term of this lease: Provided, however, That the
<br /> Government sh�ll be rPquirec3 to pay only sueh assessments, or installments of asseasments
<br /> ( special or improvement) , which are levied and imposed upon said Premises, or any p�.rt
<br /> thereof, and which i�' unpaid �oill become past due and/or delinquent during the period
<br /> covered. by the term of this lease, it not being intended tha.t the Government shall pay
<br /> any assessments which may be pay�.ble in installments or otnerwise, or installments of
<br /> assessmen�s ��rhich do not mat�az^e during the term of this lease. In any case tahere the �essor
<br />� is obllga.ted under the terms of any mortgage or lien instrument to make periodie payments
<br /> to a Special De,�osits Account m�intained by the Lienor for the payment of taxes, insur��nce,
<br /> et ceter�., the Government sh�.11 m�ke such payments for the aecau�t o�' the Lessor �s outlined
<br /> in paragra�h 7 hereof; but if such taxes or other items are not p�,id by sueh Lienor Tahen due,
<br /> the Government a.t its option m��y make such pa.yments and thereafter deduct the amounts thereof
<br /> from �.ny subsequent �mounts due such Lienor under the terms hereof.
