<br /> An Ordinance directing and authorizing the sale of certain
<br /> real estate belonging to the City of Grand Island, ivebrzska, to
<br /> the YMCA Building �orporatior� of the Ci�y of Grand Island, Nebrasra�
<br /> providing for the giving of notice of said �ale and giving the terms
<br /> thereof; and providing for the right to file a remonstrance agalnst
<br /> such sale.
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED By THE �1�,vOR �.A;D COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

<br /> SECTION l. That the sale of the real estate descr�hed as
<br /> being that part of :dorth ulashington Street lying ad,jacert to and
<br /> westerly of Lot r'our (4) , �lock Two (2) � �rnold and F.bbott' s .�'�ddition
<br /> to the City of Grand Island, lJebraska, being a tract of la.nd �0 feet
<br /> by 132 feet to the YNICF, Building Corporation of Gr�nd Isla.nd, rJebras�ca,
<br /> be, and the same is hereby directed, authorized and confirmed .
<br /> SECTION 2, The manner a,nd terms of said sale of such real
<br /> estate are as follotas: The tiurchaser a�rees to pay thereror the
<br /> sum of Fifty (�50,00) llolla rs to the City upon delivery of a �?u't
<br /> Claim Deed; the Cit,y shall r_ot re r?quired to furnish an abstract
<br /> of title. The purchaser int�nds to construct a building on sa;_d
<br /> premises and if in the cons'-ruction of same it recomes n�ce�s=:.r��
<br /> to chan�e, 2lter or reloc�te public utilities, the cost th?reof
<br /> sh�ll be paid by the purchaser.
<br /> SECTI ON 3. As prov ided by la.t�v, not ice of suc'n sale and the
<br /> terms thereof shall be pu'�lished for t!^ree (3) consec.itive weeks in
<br /> the Grand Island Daily Independent, a newspaper �u'�?_is!�ed in and
<br /> of �eneral circulatior. in sa;d Cit,y or Grand Isl�.r.d, imm�dia.tely
<br /> after the passa�;e and nu�lication of this o�c�•�nance, and the Ci_ty
<br /> Clerk is hereby direc�ed and ins*r��cted to prepa�e and publish
<br /> said not ice�.
<br /> SECTION a� Authority is h�reby �r�.nted to the electors of the
<br /> City of Grand Tsland, to file a remor_strance a,�inst tne sale or the
<br /> within described real est�te; and if a remonstrance �.gainst t�e sale
<br /> si�ned by legal electors of said City eau?1 in num:�er to t�i�t;�
<br /> {30) per cent of the electors of th e CitS� of .rra.rd I sl.-.nd, vot in�
<br /> at the last re�ul�.r election he ld in said �ity be filed with
<br /> the City Council withir. thirty (30) davs after t;he passage �rd
<br /> publication of this ordinarce, sach pr•operty sha11 net then, nor
<br /> within one year thereafter be sold .
<br /> SECTION 5. The sale ef said real est�;.te is hereby c��rected,
<br /> authorized and conrirmed; and if r_o re-�onstr�.rce be filed ag�inst
<br /> such sale, the Mayor and Ci�y Cl�rk shall ma�ce, eVecute a_�d �e�iver
<br /> to the YMCA Buildin� Corporat?on of �rand Isl�n�, ?�eUraska.,
<br /> a �uit Claim �eed for said prop�rty, and t^� e�;ecutior_ oi s?.id
<br /> deed is hnreby authorized without further acti.on on �;era.lf of the
<br /> C�ty Council.
<br /> SECTION 6 . That this or!?inance snall re in `orce -nd take

<br /> provided by law.
