<br />~ <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 A.M. from adjourned <br />session and by published call with Chairman Gary Quandt presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard <br />Hartman, Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gray Quandt and Tammie Stelk. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Abernethy. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of June 29th meeting were accepted as received by motion of <br />Frauen, seconded by Stelk. All voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />County Deputy Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and County Treasurer Doris <br />Mason appeared concerning the request of a surety bond for funds on <br />deposit in the Norwest Bank Grand Island. This item was deferred until <br />July 13, 1993 meeting so someone from Norwest Bank could met with <br />the Board. <br /> <br />Brad Fagley with McDermott & Miller reviewed the special audit report <br />made of the Treasurers department. <br /> <br />9:45 A.M. - Abernethy made motion to have executive session, Leslie <br />seconded the motion. All voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />10:15 A.M. - Frauen made motion, seconded by Abernethy to return to <br />regular session. All voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Neil Kelly, CWA Union negotiator, discussed with the Board the <br />health insurance increase to be paid by the employees who are <br />union members. Also appearing were Art Osterman and Harvey Larsen <br />who are union representative with the CWA Union. A contract has been <br />made, and:the-Board did-not:_wishto reopen negotiations. <br /> <br />Robert Schwartzkopf ask for clarification as to the billing of <br />chemicals and labor done for county departments. The policy for <br />all departments is to pay for chemicals (materials) only. <br /> <br />A memorandum from A. Zlotsky, project manager for the improvements <br />to South Locust project to extend the project study. Motion made by <br />Abernethy, seconded by Leslie to approve the extension. Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, Hartman voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Tom Atkins of J1L Construction and Ron Vlach of Nitro Construction <br />were at the meeting concerning the load limits placed on trucks <br />hauling out to the city landfill. Dan Hostler, Public Works Director, <br />also was at the meeting to discuss the condition of the road now and <br />the possibility of break-up with the heavy loads going to the landfill. <br />Hartman made motion to pull limits off and authorize Hostler to place <br />limits back on if needed without any further direction from the Board. <br />Second to the motion was made by Leslie. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie and Quandt voted yes, Stelk voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Proposals for listing real~state with realtor were opened and referred <br />to the County Attorny wit~ a motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman. <br />All voted yes, none voted no. Proposals were received from the <br />following: <br /> <br />Home Realty <br />ERA Realty - Harry Stalker <br />ERA Realty - Don Mehring <br />Regency Realty <br />Daly Realty <br /> <br />Sheriff Arnett submitted a report on deli~quent taxes collected by <br />his department for the period of October 1, 1992 through June 30, <br />1993. Abernethy made motion, seconded by Leslie to accept the <br />report. All voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />11:30 A.M. - Frauen made motion, seconded by Leslie to go into a <br />Board of Equalization. All voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />11:33 A.M. - Frauen made motion, seconded by Leslie to return to <br />regular session. All voted yes, none voted no. <br />
