<br />7 DISCUSS AND APPROVE COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS -The board members <br />received the new committee assignments in their packets. Lancaster stated that one <br />change will be made to add Scott Arnold to the computer committee. <br /> <br />Arnold made a motion and Eriksen seconded to approve the committee assignments. <br /> <br />Hartman requested that Chairman Lancaster explain why he was taken off of the Mid- <br />Plains board and Mid-Nebraska Individual Services board. He also questioned why he <br />was not on the public works committee when 90% of the roads are in his area. <br /> <br />Lancaster stated that she had received concerns from the public regarding Mid-Plains <br />and Mid Nebraska Individual Services. The financing for theses agencies should be a <br />concern of the chair of the specific board. She stated that she did not want to discuss <br />the public works committee in an open meeting. <br /> <br />Eriksen called for the question. The vote on the motion to approve the committee <br />assignments was taken. Arnold, Eriksen, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all <br />voted yes and Hartman voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />16. COMMENCE AUDIT OF BI WEEKLY PAY CLAIMS AND REGULAR CLAISMS <br />AND ACTION ON CLAIM AUDIT - The board members reviewed the claims. Jeffries <br />made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the bi weekly pay claims and the <br />regular claims. Arnold, Eriksen, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Rye all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS - Hartman - no report <br /> <br />Humiston - no report <br /> <br />Eriksen - He stated that the Corp of Engineers called a meeting that Ms. Lancaster and <br />he attended regarding CMP. The Environmental Protection Agency and the <br />Department of Environmental Quality reviewed the status of the land at CMP and the <br />disposal of the property. It was a good meeting and the new Colonel of the Corp of <br />Engineers was present to review the information. They are on schedule as far as <br />cleaning up the land and are trying to determine what to do with Tract #19, #20 and #21. <br /> <br />Rye - No report <br /> <br />Jeffries - He attended the monthly Stuhr Museum meeting and stated that the City of <br />Grand Island has let the contract for the hike and bike trail. This trail will run on the west <br />side of Stuhr Museum and on the north side of the Hall County Park. It should be <br />completed by late summer. <br /> <br />Arnold - He attended the jail committee meeting and they are looking at the jail bond <br />issue. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She attended the jail committee meeting, the meeting regarding CMP and <br />the computer committee meeting. The computer committee is looking at the <br />maintenance of the wireless system. <br /> <br />5 <br />
