<br />~000048~ <br /> <br />2c CONSIDER AND APPROVE THE RESOLUTION APPORTIONING THE COST OF <br />PROVIDING HEALTH AND DENTAL BENEFITS TO CO. EMPLOYEES AND THEIR <br />FAMILIES. This is effective for the fiscal year July 1, 2000 through June 30, 2001. <br />Employees hired after December 31, 2000 will pay 10% of their family coverage <br />insurance. The FOP contract with the Hall County Sheriff's Department, the Corrections <br />Department UFCW contract and the Public Defenders Organization all require that the <br />10% of the family coverage health cost be paid by the employee effective June 30, 2000. <br />Jeffries made a motion and Humiston seconded to approve Resolution #00-0094 <br />apportioning the cost of providing health and dental benefits to county employees and <br />their families. Landis requested clarification on the date and Janulewicz verified that <br />according the union contracts new hires would pay 10% of health care costs effective <br />June 30,.2000 and it requires non-union new hires to pay 10% of their insurance costs <br />after effective January 1, 2001. Arnold, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis <br />and Logan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #00- q t.f. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPORTIONING THE COST OF PROVIDING HEALTH AND <br />DENTAL BENEFITS TO COUNTY El\1PLOYEES AND THEIR FAMILIES <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED for the fiscal year July 1, 2000 through June 30, 20001: <br /> <br />1) The County of Hall will continue to provide employee-only health and dental benefits to all <br />full-time employees who request such benefits. The County shall pay 100% of the premium <br />cost of said employee-only health and dental coverage. <br /> <br />2) The County of Hall will continue to provide family health and dental benefits to full-time <br />employees who request such benefits. The costs for such coverage shall be apportioned and <br />paid as follows: <br /> <br />a) Employees hired after December 31, 2000: Employee pays 10%, County pays 90%. <br />b) Employees hired prior to January 1, 2001: Employee pays 0%, County pays 100%. <br /> <br />3) The County may make any changes, modifications, reductions or improvements with respect <br />to any of the health or dental benefits or the deductible, cost sharing, and cost containment <br />provisions, and may choose the method of providing the benefits, i.e. self-funded or <br />msurance. <br /> <br />4) In the event of a conflict between the terms of this resolution and the terms and conditions of <br />a current, effective collective bargaining agreement, the collective bargaining agreement shall <br />take precedence for the members of the bargaining unit. <br /> <br />5) In the event of a conflict between the terms of this resolution and the terms of a prior-adopted <br />resolution establishing the compensation and benefits for an elected county officer, the terms <br />of the prior adopted resolution shall control. <br />
