F 20000391 HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING AUGUST 8, 2000 The Hall County Board of Supervisors met form adjourned session and by published call in the County Board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska, August 8, 2000 at 9:00 a.m. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Richard Hartman. Invocation was given by Father Tim Anderson with St. Stephens Episcopal Church. ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Richard Hartman, Bob Humiston, Bud Jeffries, Pamela Lancaster and Lonnie Logan. Also present were County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and news media representatives form the Grand Island Independent and KRGI. Landis arrived at 9:10 a.m. CONSENT AGENDA - Lancaster made a motion and Logan seconded by Logan to approve and place on file the following: 1. Accept and place on file the minutes of the July 25 meeting 2. 5 b Set the bid opening date for three ten-cubic yard truck boxes for September 12, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. 3. 7 Approve Resolution #00-0071 Authorizing The Sale of Surplus County Property 4. 10 Approve the appointment of Mark Jorgensen, DDS to serve another term on the Hall County Board of Health 5. 11 Accept and place on file the Hall County Treasurer's Tax Sale Certificates #00- 001 to 00-019 and place on file the report of 1998 and 1997 prior delinquent personal property taxes and 200 accelerated property taxes 6. 12 Approve the manager license #M04996 for Williams Johnson for Highway Motels of Nebraska located at Highway 281 and 1-80, Grand Island 7. 15 Approve the final Plat for Bronson Subdivision 8. 15b Set the public hearing for August 22, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. for the adoption of a digital version of the Hall County Zoning map 9. 13 Distribute the inventories to the Supervisors for review 10. 23 Accept and place on file the office reports from the County Clerk, County Court, County Attorney Statistical Report, Emergency Management, Veterans Service Office and the Hall County Sheriff 11. 24 Accept and place on file the Hall County Treasurer's Miscellaneous Receipts 12. 25 Accept and place on file communications Arnold asked for discussion on holding the bid openings in committee meetings and having the committee come back with a recommendation. County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz stated that he needs to review the state statutes regarding this matter before a decision can be made. Arnold, Hartman, Humiston, Jeffries, Lancaster and Logan all voted yes and none voted no, with Landis absent for the vote. Motion carried.
