APPROVE RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING MAY 7-13 TO BE HALL COUNTY <br />TOURISM WEEK AND UPDATE FROM RENEE SEIFERT: County Clerk Marla <br />Conley read the proclamation for Hall County Tourism Week. Lancaster made a <br />motion and Jeffries seconded to approve Resoluiton #00-0045 for Hall County <br />Tourism Week. Arnold, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted <br />yes and none voted no with Landis absent for the vote. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Convention Visitors Bureau Renee Seifert presented the board members with a <br />packet of information and invited them to attend the luncheon today. Former <br />Governor Frank Morrison will be speaking at the luncheon. She also presented <br />posters to the board members. The board requested that Ms. Seifert update <br />them on a quarterly basis. <br /> <br />~ '.' 4 '." <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING MAY 7-13, 2000 TO BE HALL COUNTY TOURISM WEEK <br />RESOLUTION #) D -D(J!\- S <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the tourism industry is extremely important to' the State of Nebraska and to the <br />county of Hall by contributing to local employment, econo,mic prosperity, local pride and trade; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, we all benefit from the effects oftourism; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, tourism promotes intercultural understanding and appreciation of the geography, <br />history and people of Nebraska; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, with a strong economy, personal incomes and leisure will increase more rapidly. <br />Tourism, therefore, can be expected to play an even greater role in the lives of all Nebraskans. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Hall County Board of Supervisors that May <br />7-13 in the year 2000 to be <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY TOURISM WEEK <br /> <br />and we call upon the people of Hall County to observe such week with appropriate ceremonies and <br />activities. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of May, 2000. <br /> <br /> <br />Resolution moved by ~~ 1'<'-. g \q kt\(' u. s+~ v- <br /> <br />Seconded by ~Il,d Ie{:\' ~~ -.os,. <br /> <br />Vote: <br />Scott Arnold: <br />Richard Hartman: <br />W.P.
