Jeffries made a motion and Logan seconded to <br />approve the planned unit development for the Jamison House. Arnold, Hartman, <br />Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />c. SET PUBLIC HEARING: Mr. Nabity stated this is a rezoning request from James <br />Wagoner and a public hearing will need to be held. Jeffries made a motion and Logan <br />seconded to set the public hearing for the rezoning application for James Wagoner for <br />April 25, 2000 at 10:45 a.m. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and <br />Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />16.ACCEPT APPOINTMENT OF SHEILA BJERRUM AS DIRECTOR OF HEALTH <br />DEPARTMENT: Stelk stated that the search for the director for the health department <br />has been a long process. They have advertised twice for applications and finally made <br />the decision to consider applications from individuals that did not live in Hall County. <br />Stelk made a motion and Lancaster seconded to appoint Sheila Bjerrum as the Grand <br />Island/Hall County Health Department Director. Ms. Bjerrum will start her position on <br />May 1. Jeffries stated his concern that she does not live in Hall County. Landis stated <br />that Hall County does not require employees to live in Hall County. Arnold, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and Jeffries voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />17. REAPPOINTMENT TO VETERANS SERVICE BOARD: Jeffries made a motion and <br />Lancaster seconded to reappoint D. B. Caswell of Cairo, Nebraska to the veterans <br />service committee. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />18. ACCEPT AND PLACE ON FILE THE REPORT OF THE HALL COUNTY <br />TREASURER OF PUBLIC TAX SALES: Logan made a motion and Lancaster seconded <br />to accept and place on file the report of public tax sales for delinquent 1998 real estate <br />taxes. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and <br />none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />19. ACCEPT DONATION TO SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT: April 4 the Sheriff's <br />Department received a donation of one hundred gallons of fuel. The individual wished <br />to remain anonymous. Jeffries made a motion and Lancaster seconded to accept the <br />gift of the fuel and to thank the individual for his generous gift. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Stelk made a motion by consent agenda and Lancaster seconded to accept and place <br />on file the following: <br />1. The office reports from the county clerk, emergency management, county court, <br />county sheriff and register of deeds <br />2. Accept and place on file the Hall County Treasurer's Miscellaneous Receipts <br />3. Accept and place on file the communications as received <br />Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Arnold was absent for the vote. Motion carried. <br />
