<br />F20000193 <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING April 11, 2000 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met from adjourned session and by published call <br />in the county board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska, April 11 , <br />2000 at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Richard Hartman. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Rev. Martin Schmidt with Trinity Lutheran Church. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Richard Hartman, Bud Jeffries, Pamela Lancaster, Margaret <br />Landis, Lonnie Logan and Tammie Stelk. Also present were Deputy County Attorney <br />Jerry Janulewicz and news media representatives from the Grand Island Independent <br />and KRGI. <br /> <br />1.MINUTES OF THE MARCH 28 MEETING: Logan made a motion and Jeffries <br />seconded to accept and place on file the minutes of the March 28 meeting. Arnold, <br />Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />2a. DISCUSSION AND ACTION REGARDING THE SALE OF LOT 7 AND THE WEST <br />Y:1 OF LOT 8, BLOCK 11, BRETT AND JOHNSON'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF <br />WOOD RIVER: Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz stated that this property was <br />acquired from a tax foreclosure sale. The Hall County Public Works Department cleared <br />the lot and he would like direction from the county board on the sale of the property. <br />Jeffries made a motion and Lancaster seconded to advertise the property for sale and <br />accept sealed bids for a 15 days. Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz will prepare <br />the necessary documents. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk <br />all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Chairman Hartman called for public participation and no one <br />responded. <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS APPROVE RESOLUTION FOR SPEED LIMIT ON NORTH WEBB <br />ROAD AND HIGHWAY 281: Public Works Director Dan Hostler stated that a study was <br />done on the road and now he is now recommending that the speed limit be lowered to <br />40 MPH and post advance warning signs. Jeffries made a motion and Lancaster <br />seconded to approve Resolution #00-0036 to reduce the speed limit on North Webb <br />Road and Highway 281. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk <br />all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br />
